Sony Ericsson Xperia X10a GSM Smartphone (Black)

This was my dream phone . but I was young dumb and broke at that time.So, finally I could pick up my dream phone almost 7-8 years later.Cons:1.it is impossbie to update the Android version, currently 2.32. Camera is none comparable to current smart phone standard3. Battery is not in good health, but it is changeable designPros:This was a milestone for Sony Ericsson, and when it first came out, it was a superior product,so I guess this will rise up value in collection market

This Mobile Phone is one of the best Android Devices. I use it for everyday music player, take very nice quality photos and HD video, upgradable to Android Gingerbread (2.3.3) and works very good and super fast.In other words is a great phone.

Phone appear to be new but was dead on arrival.no power at all

The phone was ok, but expected that the instructions would have been in English! One of the download apps on the phone itself is also in chinese. It was a wedding gift for my Fiance'and he wasn't too happy - he said "why didn't you buy this phone on E-Bay" not good. Also for the price, it could have come with a case or privacy screen at least.

Sony Ericsson have announced that they will no longer offer upgrades on Android for this device. Holding on 2.1 release will soon became outdated and, therefore, new apps will not work. I am now considering an iPhone since Apple offers backwards compatibility to all products.

Reasons to stay away from this phone.1. Mine would not stop crashing: It became so predictable at it that I could induce it to crash. Open one app while running another - CRASH! Try browsing while charging the phone - CRASH!There is a problem w/ a large batch of these phones that are clearly defective.Sony Ericcson (SE) will not do anything about it.2. Outdated OS system: Please save yourself the misery and get a "real" smart phone (e.g. htc aria, samsung captivate). Yes, I made a mistake in buying a phone with OS 1.6 when phones with OS 2.1 are available for just bit more money (My last SE lasted me 4 years and was bulletproof). Thus I gave them another try. SE has been promising an update for months to no avail...3. Sony Ericcson (SE)'s HORRENDOUS Customer Service: I contacted SE regarding issue #1 and somewhat for issue #2. If you live in the U.S., you will be calling the Caribbean islands. SE agents are one of the worst in the business. I had the pleasure of speaking with an agent at SE who literally stated "that's just too bad" about my repetitive crashing issues. I escalated the call to the agent's supervisor who unbelievably showed even less concern about my issues. This is when I drew the line and decided to return my phone.This is a clear indication that SE is not a company you should be doing business with.I returned this phone for a Samsung Captivate and could not be happier. For $40 more, the Captivate is in an entirely different league.

In November 2010 I bought the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 black model from AT&T. I don't have anything positive to say about this phone, only negative things. The camera takes very bad photos the quality is disgusting, the video is not good either, the phone is not as fast as advertised at all, powers up slow, and works sluggishly. The phone doesn't have a good antenna either, when I go inside a store, the signal is gone. Two weeks after I bought this dinosaur, it started to give me serous problems, when I am in a call I CAN'T END CALL, I have to wait for the person I am talking with to hang up on me, also during a call the touch screen dialpad will lock up, and I CAN'T use the dialpad. Also I can't connect to some bluetooth devices such as my laptop, printers, and my Motorola ear piece using the phone's bluethoot. I have called AT&T and reported all those problems, it is now almost the end of January 2011, and I am waiting my 3 replacement handset from AT&T, hopefully the 4th handset will work and I will finally have a phone, if it doesn't I will buy another phone, since the X10 is garbage.
