Does what was wanted
Due to a peripatetic earlier life I've amassed many recipes which use volume rather than weight so I've been looking for a largish jug to measure dry goods as it's more accurate to use a bigger vessel once or twice than a small measure x20. This is perfect for that purpose. The rather wide brim is aesthetically unattractive but really practical for pouring in sugar or flour.I must've got lucky as mine arrived with the lid intact and without industrial strength sticky tape anywhere on it. It's not the best for pouring, but not terrible. I'm not really the best judge though as I my hands and wrists are stiff. The lid always seems like it's going to fall off in the pour so I keep the handle-holding thumb on it, it could be snugger though. Sometimes I wonder if kitchen implement designers actually cook or if they just vaguely imagine their mums wafting about the kitchen.PS I wouldn't use the sugar measurement guide for caster sugar. It's designed for granulated. I vaguely recall that German granulated sugar is somewhat finer than the UK equivalent. Caster sugar is much more "compact," so the measure would be too off.

Horrible to clean.. cheap plastic
Absolutely horrible to clean.. binned it after the first use, the plastic went all streaky and it just looked so dirty no matter what I done, them I realised it was all scrapped and melted away, the plastic isn’t durable what what it’s meant to be used for

Made in Germany not China...............
This plastic jug has clear printing for ease of reading and numerous units of measurement. The unit is made of plastic and as such is ideal for light use. I personally prefer to buy UK manufactured products but something made in Europe or other democratic countries is a plus point for me. Outstanding value at the price also.

Good measuring jug
It Is a very nice jug and the markings for measuring are very easy to see.The only thing was that strong sellotape was used to keep the lid in place and the residue glue is very hard to get off. I have tried several suggestions and some glue is not coming off. The height is about 6.5 inches and the handle is about 2.5 inches at the bottom from the jug.

jug with lid
I have ordered this product twice (once as a replacement) because in the photo the jug has a lid, and I need a jug with a lid, but there was no lid in either parcel I received.

Great for slimming world or dieters
This has been very useful since starting slimming world so I can measure the amount of milk allowed for the day the night before and then I can use my jug instead of the bottle of milk knowing exactly how much I’m allowed.

Brittle, scratches and doesn't fit dishwasher
I've had this measuring jug for several months now but I'm not happy with it. The plastic is brittle and scratches ridiculously easily from simply whisking with a hand whisk eg whilst mixing a stock cube with boiling water or whisking eggs and cream together; it also fractured with one drop to the wooden floor, another drop and it will fully shatter; and the lip although it pours well is so wide it's very difficult to fit in the dishwasher. My previous jug lasted 30years which was made of softer plastic like traditional tupperware. When this one breaks which I'm sure will be soon I shall be buying a different brand.

Multiple breaks within months.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Didn't last three months with occasional use. The handle broke within about a month, and I gorilla glued it to "make do", then, my wife was whisking batter in it, and the bottom went straight through. See video. If you're just measuring cool, light liquids it'll probably be fine, but any use beyond that - any at all - and it's not fit for purpose.
