Ideal starter kit for Warhammer Models
I bought this as my 8 year old son has started to get into Warhammer. Having seen the price of the Games Workshop spray cans I nearly had heart failure, so for the price of two GW cans he can now spray to his hearts content.I’ll write this in the eyes of a parent who wants an easy to use kit for basic purposes. The little spray gun actually seems fairly well made, but like anything cheap I suspect it won’t withstand neglect, so cleaning is paramount. We used the citadel air paint pots mixed with Vallejo thinners and we got some variable results, but that appears to be down to getting the right amount of adjustment in the needle.I note that several reviews says it’s rubbish and doesn’t spray. Those reviewers didn’t read the instructions, if you don’t wind the needle back then paint won’t flow - pretty obvious stuff even for a total first timer like me.The little compressor isn’t too noisy, but it’s far from silent, and pressure is adjusted by an airscrew with works as a relief valve. The paints we were using were quite thick so it needed to be fully closed, we could have added more thinners if needed. The photos of the marines show blue sprayed over a black base. This was after one pass so there are bits not painted, but it shows you the texture and definition. So, it’s not a professional kit, but I am not a professional painter, and so far it seems to be working fine. It appears to be absolutely spot on for occasional hobby use. My only real concern would be the longevity of the compressor, but then this is clearly a “try it and see if you like it” type kit.As it stands, can’t fault it.UPDATE: November 2019. Three months and about 50 Warhammer figures later, its still working fine. The Citadel paints seem to clog the nozzle quite quickly, so regular cleaning is an absolute must. We've had a couple of instances where the compressor doesn't seem to have sufficient pressure to drive the Citadel paints without significant thinning which gives rise a bit of a coverage issue. The Valejo thinners are essential.Theres some tweaks you can do to the airbrush to make it work better (look on youtube, there's lots of videos explaining it) and I can confirm that if you polish the needle with metal polish the spray pattern is much finer.Overall, considering how much work its done and how much its taught me about using an airbrush, its a worthwhile investment. I suspect if you partner the gun with a compressor that pushes out a higher PSi, it would work better still.

Good all round airbrush
For the price this is one very good deal. The brush itself is well may a good weight ( not to light not to heavy). 0.4 needle so not really for very fine detail, good for modeling which is my main use of the airbrush. The compressor is a little noisy, but dropped it on to a rubber mat the did the trick.Over all if your starting out you will not go wrong with this Airbrush set

Good quality airbrush for first time hobbyist...
The little air pump that came with the airbrush was not powerful enough for the acrylic paint I was using but the airbrush is of good quality and easy to clean.

Good value for basic airbrushing
I thought this product would be rubbish, but its surprisingly good! Perfect for model making, it might not be as fine as others, but that's down to the supplied brush which is fine for larger area coverage.

Airgun Air Valve Missing
The compressor is nice a quiet. Build enough air pressure for spraying with limited spitting. The gun is cheap but would work fine if the air valve supplied with the gun was an actual air valve. What is supplied is just a hollow core where the valve should be. This results in the airbrush constantly blowing air with no way to stop it other than turning the compressor off.THIS WAS MENTIONED IN PREVIOUS REVIEWS. READ ALL REVIEWS!!If the compressor holds out then this isn't a complete waste of money.

Good while it lasted
I had great results with this early on, very impressive for the price. The build quality started to cause problems after a month or so though. It lost pressure, causing a lot of difficulties with painting. Following that, I tried to disassemble and the thread sheared off the nozzle. Now looking to replace with a better quality kit.

Great for a beginner
Nice quality feel to the pen and the transformer is quiet. Comes well packaged and is a good kit for a beginner with everything you need to get on.

Not great.
The compressor isn’t powerful enough for a lot of paints. If you’re new to airbrushing spend the extra and get a bigger compressor. Also the airbrush itself is cheap and broke easily.Probably ok for cakes but definitely not modelling
