It will make a nice change from the electronic gadgets she plays with and as her friend also has been promised one for Christmas, they can play to their hearts' content.

My 4 year old LOVES it although please remember when buying you have to make ALL the lipsticks, hair colouring gel and body glitter yourself. you get probably 70% of the ingredients needed. And it's not easy! Apart from that if your kids into makup or potions this will be a big hit. £30 is a little steep.

This was a present for my eight year old. It was exciting when her dad and I finally managed to hack our way through the packaging! She loved it but it’s missing two key items. The coconut oil you need to make the makeup and brushes or sponges to put the finished makeup on. For the price I would expect it to be inclusive of all necessary elements.

What a waste of money. Over half the experiments are not included. You need brushes, oil, hair gel etc. What is included is cheap and irritated my daughters skin. The tools are so cheap that a child can't do it so I had to and even I couldn't get the lip gloss into the pen holder. It just made a mess and upset my daughter who couldn't use it.

The product was fine and my granddaughter loved it but there was great disappointment to find that among the " household products" we were meant to have to hand were clear hair gel and coconut oil !! Really ???
