This thing is amazing! The accuracy is great and spot on! I used it to make candy. The old glass tube I was using was off by just a couple degrees but during candy making that can make or break a recipe. No issues readying the screen for the temp. The durability is great and the cord is long enough to not get in the way of anything on the stove. It is a great value for the money especially when making candy or cough drops

Love the convenience, seems accurate. The alarm is loud enough for me. Only drawback is when changing the temp, I have to push button for each degree, can't just hold it down to set up or down.

Made the perfect steaks. Why estimate when you can be DIALED IN. Literally I’m a steak god now and maybe a future brisket king.

I have compared this temperature probe, to another meat thermometer, an IR thermometer, and a digital HVAC thermostat, and they all read within 2°. I keep the probe in my oven, clipped to the top shelf, and I have a ceramic pizza plate, down near the bottom to prevent radiated heat, directly from the oven heating element. My old RCA oven has terrible temperature regulation! I turn on my oven and set the desired temperature, then I watch the thermoworks temperature for several minutes, assuming it will cycle +/- 25°, around the desired temperature. Now that I'm actually cooking with the correct temperature, my meals actually taste better!

I wanted a ThermoWorks Dot and purchased this thermometer through the ThermoWorks Store here on Amazon. I did not use Amazon reviews to help me make my decision, but used outside reviews. The ThermoWorks products are considered as some of the best, even in professional circles. That sold me. My Dot arrived in one day thanks to Amazon Prime. I couldn't wait to try it out. Following the simple directions, not much was working out. The alarm would not set to the desired temperature, a basic 350F. The thermometer would not change from Fahrenheit to Celcius, and the number display was very difficult to read. In fact, I've never seen such a poorly designed digital display. A certificate of conformity plus another certificate of calibration was included. On it, the model name for my thermometer was Amazon Dot, the certificate issued by Yuxiang Ouyang. Do you see what I'm seeing? If you do, you understand the reason for this five star rating.

Takes the guess work out of meat readiness. We have always battled with getting the right temperature on meat whether it was roasting or grilling. This thermometer is a game changer.

It is fine device. It looks very solid. Is has sound alarm for heatin up. But, unfortunatelly, no allarm for cooling down. You cannot use it to cool down to a set temperature. No use to me. This should had been explained better.
