Wouldn’t the cable affect the seal on the oven door?

The probe's cable is so small that it does not affect the seal of the oven. This is how DOT was designed to be used.

Which probes work with DOT, and can I switch probes during cooking?

DOT works with all Pro-Series probes, including air probes and penetration probes. You can switch probes mid-cook—unplug one and plug in another and DOT will instantly display the new probe’s temperature.

Use DOT in smokers, air fryers, ovens, and more. Keep DOT outside the cooker while the probe monitors food. Ensure the probe cable stays below its max temperature of 700°F (370°C).

How does the alarm work?

The DOT alarm sounds when a rising temperature hits your set target. Adjust the alarm temperature by pressing the up and down arrows.
