Product Description There is nothing quite like the fantastic feeling of immersing yourself deep in to the world of your favorite game. Gaming is an audio-visual experience, and many gamers will even argue that sound actually plays a more important role than the graphics, in creating the magical feeling and ambience of a game. We at QPAD believe this too, and that is why we created two Hi-Fi capable gaming headsets with premium audio performance and excellent ergonomics. Many gamers focus so much on the visual part of gaming, they forget all about the sound. It is not uncommon to see people spending thousands of dollars on top-notch computers with all the latest graphics cards, monitors, keyboards, mice and what not, then plugging in a no-name headset, thinking no more of it. In doing so, they are depriving themselves from a huge part of the magic created by game studios and producers. The audial dimension of gaming matters, and we at QPAD truly believe that a good portion of all audio-depraved gamers out there will be blown away by the gaming experience when using a good pair of headphones, such as the QPAD QH-85. Even so, sound is not only a question of experiencing a game to its full potential. The ability to hear and interact with game audio actually gives you a competitive edge. In many popular titles, skilled players will actively use sound as means of telling where their enemies are. Sound is often a crucial piece of information when deciding how to act and react in many situations. Of course, you will need a headset capable of reproducing all nuances and frequencies. The Hi-Fi capability of the new QPAD QH-85 will not only open a world of magical sounds for you, it can also give you an advantage in many games. The QH-85 is not just a headset, they are a pair of hi-fi capable headphones equipped with a premium microphone. The QH-85:s are designed with open cups and will produce a natural sound with clear bass, mids and highs. The open design allows for some sound leakage from the surrounding environment. Good attention to detail, extra features not listed in description.
The open cup design allows you to hear your surroundings clearly, it is one of the few headsets which are actually advertised as open cup.The sound quality is good on both the cups and the microphone. The ear pads are large and soft, which is excellent for extended use, the headband is also nice and soft. The construction of the headband is durable. The weight of the headset is a good middle ground. It comes fitted with a short 1m cable which is ideal for laptop use. However there and three additional cable extensions:A plain 2m extension cable.A 1m extension which has an inline "control box", giving analogue volume control, a microphone mute switch, and a button which can pause/play/answer-calls on mobile phones.A 0.1m standard 4-conducter 3.5mm jack (TRRS) mobile phone adapter. The microphone is detachable and there is a little rubber plug to keep the socket clean when the microphone is not in use. This is one of those little attention to detail points which is really nice.Overall: An excellent buy, I certainly got more than I was expecting with this product. :D

Best Headset for this pricerange
You cant go wrong with this headset I have been using it for around 6-8 months now and I have to say I am still not disappointed, the build quality is amazing the sound and mic sound clear, I have had headsets from most major companies, and this is the best I have ever owned, that is comparing it to headsets from Razer, steel series and Logitech. they are a little on the heavy side but really comfortable.PROS:Amazing Build Quality.Clear sound qualityMic is the best I have had on a headset so far.Good range of sounds. Is even better with a good dedicated sound card.Comfortable to wearCons:Mic is addicting to chew on, but hey isn't it like that with every headset? xDa tiny bit heavy but that is expected with how well these are built so its not really a con, and they do not seem to slip or fall off your head either or feel like they will. All round an amazing headset for the price, I would have no problem recommending these to people and I am sure whoever bought these would be more than satisfiedThey even come with a little bag to carry around in a pretty nice box that you can reuse to keep them safe in, an extension cable that will allow for reaching down under the back of a desk no matter where the computer is and a cable that turns the two mic and headphone jacks into a single jack for things like smartphones and ultra books that have that single mic and headphone combo port.I hope my review helps, please ask any questions if you need to know something more.EDIT [17/11/2013]So after almost a year of use, getting bashed around, tangled in things and very very heavy usage, they broke but not because of a failure on their part or a fault but because I got them tangled in the chair and the cable broke, not a bad headset to last way longer than any other headset has ever lasted me and the only reason they broke was my own error, I am going to buy another set because of how happy I am with my experience with these, which stayed comfortable and working great through what I could only describe as, extreme usage, being thrown around, traveled with in suitcases and thrown into bags, the cables tangled and pulled and the headphones themselves used non-stop 9 hours+ a day, every day.Would definitely hands down recommend them, I swear by this headset.

Had to return them twice because mic stopped working after less than 3 months
I first bought this headset in December 2013 for my son. Even though he was pleased with sound quality and comfort, by mid Feb the mic had stopped working. We decided to exchange them and Amazon were prompt in doing so. By mid April, the same fault occurred with the new headset. Amazon were great and we have returned the faulty item and a refund was supplied within 2 days of our complaint. Full marks for Amazon but not so for this headset.

On my third pair-the mic housing has failed on three different headsets.
My third pair just started presenting problems this evening, and although i said that i wouldn't write a negative review-i feel it is my duty to relay my experiences with this product and Qpad itself as a company.THE BADAs i said this is my third pair of headphones, the first one was the open ear design, and the other two were the closed type.ALL of them presented problems with the removable mic housing-to be more precise, the mic simply stopped working after less than a year(the latest pair), and the other two pair's mics stopped working within 6 months. There is clearly a severe problem with the quality of their mic jack/housing (the mic is removable) and it does not stand up to regular usage.I would like to point out that i am not some 12 yr old who abuses their items etc-i build my own water cooled pcs as a hobby and i tend to get the best gear out there.I tried this brand after quite alot of research and frankly speaking, it is blatantly obvious to me that they reviewers were 'paid' to post favourable feedback (payment, not necessarily in cash, but more than likely with free headsets).I unreservedly state that I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HEADSET TO ANYONE AT ALL.It is clearly a faulty product and as the saying goes-'once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence, BUT three times IS A HABIT!'STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HEADSET.(one observation that i have made is that these are exactly the same in components/structure/build etc as the Kingston HyperX Cloud headsets (the closed version)-i am not saying that the Kingston Headsets will present the same problems(they seem to have good feedback), but i am 100% sure that the pieces for both brands are generic made in china pieces-anyone that takes the time to check out photographs will see that my comment is valid-as to the inner workings of the HyperX Cloud, i cannot comment, but their similarities, mean that i will also stay far away from the aforementioned headset.THE GOODQpad as a company were good enough to replace the faulty headsets for me free of charge on all two occasions (im not going to bother to request a third pair-ive had enough with this product)They also shipped out the headsets via courier-kudos to Qpad. They also sent me a bunch of free ear pads/gaming mats & cleaning kits as what i suppose can be called an apology. So in so far as customer care goes-i cannot nor will not fault Qpad at all.But in so far as this product is concerned-its basically trash.I do not take pleasure in posting this negative review, but people need to know what they are buying-especially at that price.....
