Nice water resistant design - when all ports are sealed up. Great screen. My toddler has thrown it several times, and it fell off a two story balcony during a christmas party, then tumbled down a flight of stairs below and the screen is still like new. Not a scratch, not a dent, not a crack. Incredible. Crystal clear screen, very bright in any light and fairly fast. Plays games smoothly and with ease. Good sound quality when playing music, and since Verizon's last update the call quality is MUCH improved, as before the update callers on the other end would often say they could not hear me at all, now I receive no more of those complaints since the latest update.Camera, I have found, is very unpredictable in its quality and fairly useless except to take very basic photos. The camera is terrible in low light, but great for pool pictures since it is very water resistant. I've taken photos under water in the pool and its a ton of fun.Speaker is loud enough to listen to music on it at the beach without bringing along another portable bluetooth speaker.When using headphones the sound quality of music is very good.Easily expand capacity with a cheapo memory card - this is an awesome option now that many phone manufacturers have moved away from offering SD card expansion.Overall, I LOVE this camera, as someone whose had the galaxy S3, S4, Droid DNA, Apple Iphone 4s and others. Why do I love this so much? Because it is nearly indestructible. The reason I no longer use any of those other phones? Because each one died from a broken screen, except the Droid DNA which died from water damage in a too humid/wet environment on a boat during a rain storm and some rain exposure.This phone has survived multiple disasters from me and my toddler and keeps on ticking like brand new!!

I bought this and it does not list anything but the fact it is a verizon phone.It was one at one time, but you cannot use it on their system now. It is at least 10 years old, and will not support 5G so they will not let it on.I could not even get it to use just WIFI to work as a kid toy for the grandson.VERY disappointed with the lacking information that renders it pretty much useless.

Okay, first off, the phone is ridiculously tough. The built in military-strength case that it comes in will take a huge beating and not even give a care. Furthermore, the screen is slightly recessed, so if you were to drop the phone flat on its face, the case would take the shock and not the screen. I love how the back, home and menu buttons are actually buttons and not touch-screen popup junk. The layout is fantastic. The flashlight, camera, barometer, sound options, etc. are all very easily accessible. In addition, the phone has a programmable key on the side, which basically means that you pick what you want it to do. I don't really use it but I love that it's there. The camera also has a shutter button on the side of the case which is great as well. The charging cable jack and headphones jack are both covered, which keeps dirt, dust and other contaminants from getting in there and causing issues. The speakers are loud as crap and the clarity is frankly better than any handheld device I've ever heard. Seriously. I can't even keep the volume 3/4s of the way up for most videos because it's just too loud. The display is sharp and crystal clear, and the phone overall feels very refined and strong and well constructed. But my absolute favorite thing about this phone is the battery life. I use my phone pretty heavily to text and surf the internet on break at work and a full charge lasts me 3 days easily. By FAR the longest lasting battery I've ever seen in a smartphone. Overall, i would recommend this phone over any other that I've ever used or even seen. It really is an unsung hero. BUY IT.

Sadly, after several troubleshooting attempts, this phone wouldn’t receive messages despite being compatible with our carrier.

I lost my last cell phone (iPhone 5c..you know the cheap plastic blue one all the cell providers have been pawning off on everyone) in a pool of minty freshness ie the center console of my car wile a tipped over container of mouthwash drizzled for two hours and slowly emersed my beloved contacts, iTunes and pictures into a scene of horror. After that I was convinced I wanted rugged, and water resistant. Here it is folks. The Brigadier is beautiful, easy to use rugged and most important...mouthwash proof. I love this phone and can't go on enough. If you like Android or are ready to get rid of that iPhone or just want to drop your mobile phone in the toilet on accident and build up the courage to reach in and pull it out and soap that bad boy up and rinse it with warm water before you put it close to your beautiful face and say happy happy...joy joy! This is it ladies and gentilemen. This is the NEW STANDARD on how all phones should be made. Oh as a caviot the seller was quick and prompt and the back had a few scratches (who cares) the rest of the phone was like brand new and the Sapphire screen...look out gorilla glass your not the only close to indestructible name in the game any more...beautiful. So in short I love this phone and I want it to have my babies.P.S. Don't tell my girl friend about that last part. She's super jealous.Thank you for your time.James Hurd
