The tablets did a great job of cleaning my diffuser.

We have recently moved and find that the water in our apartment building leaves a grey scale on our warm mist humidifiers. It’s not the usual lime scale that is easily removed using white spirit vinegar though. In our previous house, since we were on well water, we had a *lot* of scale on anything that boiled water. But treating it with vinegar worked great; it would start bubbling and the acidic vinegar worked on the carbonate scale and the pretty soon it would be clean. The scale in this apartment is different. Vinegar didn’t do anything: no bubbling, no detaching of the scale from the heating elements,… So I got these citric acid tablets thinking that the stronger acid might do the trick. They really didn’t; the seemed to have no effect at all. So I’m guessing the scale is not carbonate and probably not alkaline. If so, an alkali-based cleaner might work better. More research is needed.

These tablets work very well. I will order again as needed.

Work great cleaning humidifier and tea pot. Coffee pot. Be sure to rinse clean a couple of times if in coffee pot.or tea pot, but works great.

These are not put in and forget. Requires rinsing and wiping down after use.

Easier to clean the tank after soaking using these tablets

Didn't work at all. Used as directed to clean my humidifier and it literally made no difference. Let it soak 3 times as long as it said to just to see if that would work and it still was not any cleaner. Save yourself some money and just use vinegar+water.

I run my humidifier 24x7, run on low during the day, and turning it up at. I clean my humidifier once a week, so it's usually always clean. I bought those humidifier fish with the beads in them to help keep the tank clean too. However, I lost track of when i put the fish in so was late in changing it out. This last time I went to clean the humidifier I was horrified at what I found! It was gross. [Pics]. I've never seen anything like it in my tank before. I guess when those fish are not changed out often they cause nasties! These tabs, although slow dissolving, lifted that gunk easily and left the base tank clean. No scrubbing necessary. Warm water, tab [or 2] and stand back and watch it go to work. No more nasties. I also think just hot water and vinegar would have done the trick too.

Alight. Worked a little bit, but did not completely remove built up calcium
