functional but not worth any extra money
The pump works. Its loud. It runs longer than the 1/2 hp pump it replaced, pumps less water, and the pressure is less. It does work though.

Messed up threads
I ended up installing and the bottom threads were messed up. I couldn't screw anything in there and on further inspection the threads look like they never machined all the way through. How do I order a new faceplate or replacement pump? Just spent close to 400$ on a pump I can't use.

Fairly easy swap..
The pump worked fine, but had to re-use my old pressure guage as none was included [sales propaganda indicated one was to be included.Be prepared to purchase plumber's tape.. not include either.]

Why 1 1/4 Inch?
I do not know why Flojet thought it was a good idea to make the intake 1 1/4 inches, but that size fittings are very hear to find in my area. I had to order a reducer online so my 2" well supply would fit in the intake. And THEN the supply outlet is 1". Duh. Or duh me because I did not check the owners manual on the Flotec website to see what the pipe connections are. Oh, wait. Do they actually tell you the pipe sizes? Are they marked at the inlets/outlets?I also got a Flojet bladder tank to mount the pump on top. But wait. The connections on the pump base do not match any holes on the tank. You can make them fit with the pump feet hanging over the tank base. I am sure the pump will work fine once I get all the irregular, regular fittings to go in the places they need to be. So when I decided to get a supplemental drinking water supply tank I ordered a Shurflo. We will see what their engineers can design.

Replacement for Hydrojet
I've used four hydrojet pumps in rotation to move water for a geothermal heat pump and the house well for over 30 years. Parts have become harder to get and Sear's has reduced their stock. When one of the old pumps failed so that I couldn't repair it, I searched the web for a replacement and found that this Flotec series matches the look of the HydroJet pumps very closely. The construction is the same, the materials, even the starting capacitor, etc. under the end cap. They are almost an exact replacement except for one small detail: the top molded connector (shown top left) has only two outlets instead of three. The hydrojet pumps had an additional port straight out the back of this connection point. This necessitated some replumbing to put these pumps in the same systems. So far they've worked very well. I report back in another 30 years! (not). -- note duplicate of review from 1/2 hp model which I also purchased.

The one I bought was delayed. there should be an option for overnight it's a well pump.
As I said there should be an option for overnight, it's a well pump if it's ordered that usually means someone is without water. and it just so happens that this is the only place I can find this one, the other big chain stores don't carry it, It's not on the shelf in Seattle, and we have been without water for three days, waiting on a delivery,oh, the one I had just like this one worked great for 22 years,

Parts Missing
Missing parts. The pressure adjustment plug and the gauge cap was not one with a hole for the pressure gauge. We expected to have all the parts. If we didn't have the same pump we could not have used it.

I ordered it thinking ii sounded like a good pump for the money
If I could give this sorry product MINUS 5 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat, without even thinking twice about it! I ordered it thinking ii sounded like a good pump for the money. But after I opened it up and began to inspect it, and to look at the installation instructions, something just did not seem to add up. So I called Flotec support only to be told I need an extra part called an "Injector kit", in order for the pump to come up to full pressure. I was told without the "Injector kit" it would not work properly. The" Injector housing" goes on front of the pump and covers the two big holes you can see in the picture, on the left side of the pump towards the bottom front of it.There was nothing on the description page advertising the pump or on the spec page that mentioned one single solitary thing about needing to order extra part, or parts to make this thing work properly! That is pure dishonesty and deception! So in short, without the "Injector kit", the pump will not come up to full pressure, and what it amounts too is that I have been sent only a part of a pump! Then to add insult to injury, the injector kit costs an extra 75 dollars! That is pure CRAP! I just opened up this sorry excuse for a pump only 30 minutes ago, but it is already repacked and ready to ship back to Amazon! This thing is going right back to them today! What a complete joke this part of a pump is! And it is a very bad joke at that!
