The headboard arrived damaged.
I was very excited to finally be able to inbox this bed frame, I was in the midst of moving, so I couldn’t open it right away. I finally got it opened today only to discover long after I had thrown out the boxes to the dumpster that the head board has a huge hole in it. Everything else arrived in great condition and was accounted for. It is literally just the head board that is damaged. Because I hadn’t seen the hole until afterwards, I can’t return it nor can I request a refund or a replacement. This upsets me because I was really looking forward to opening this bed frame up but now I’m beyond disappointed. I wish I could get a replacement headboard so I could throw this damaged one out but it looks like that’s not going to happen. If I can get a replacement, I’ll change my review, because it’s not the quality of the frame itself-it’s just the fact that this one came damaged.UPDATE: A couple of days after I wrote this review, I contacted Modway. It took them a couple of days to respond but they sent me out a new headboard, free of charge! The replacement headboard arrived in perfect condition. I’ve had this bed frame for almost a year now and I love it. My girlfriend and I love this bed. It’s sturdy and it looks great. I only have two issues with this bed frame. The first issue is that the “wood” is very sensitive, so laying down phones and remotes on the side of the bed will leave marks and scratches. We have to leave our phones on the floor next to the bed because of this but if you have side tables, it shouldn’t be an issue. The second issue I have with this bed is that it tears sheets. We’ve had the same sheet since we purchased this bed frame and because of tucking it in, it’s got holes on the seams of the sheets. It’s not a huge issue but we’re going to need to replace it soon.Overall, this bed is very nice and looks great! It was affordable too! (it was on sale when we bought it), so you can’t complain. I would recommend this bed frame to anyone. Thanks to Modway for sending us a replacement right away, that’s great customer service!

Looks great and is good quality
I had a different experience from many other reviewers. Yes is made of real walnut veneer over particle board but so is the same design bed from Modloft for $1500. The wooden rail pieces are built really well and solidly. The walnut finish is very beautiful and genuine walnut, that's what makes this bed so impressive. It does not really take two people, I emptied the boxes and put the whole bed together myself in about an hour. The bolts aligned perfectly, you just have assemble it with the bolts loosely fastened then tighten the bolts when its all together, that way you can align the rails so there is no gap between the walnut foot and side pieces. Someone mentioned that the side tables are made of a cheaper unfinished wood. This is not true, they are walnut too, but the rear of them is not walnut, so like myself they must have assembled left and right tables back to front. I did this at first and corrected my error when I noticed the table front was not walnut finish :) Very happy with my purchase. As a side note, you should try to buy a queen mattress that no more than 10-11" thick so it doesn't stick up too much above the platform. Mine pictured is 11" thick.

Assembly tricky but looks good
The bed looks really lovely put together - accurate to the photos. The wood is made of composite wood flakes on the inside which does cheapen the quality a bit, but it isn’t that noticeable visually. Like another reviewer, it was hard to line up the headboard screws - I ended up only able to screw together 3 of the 4 frame corners since I didn’t want to drill new holes. It doesn’t seem unstable this way though. Also the instructions could be more clear that you need to drill the screws that connect the interior slats to the bed with your own screwdriver. It took a couple hours to figure out/put together, but now it looks good!

Disappointing
The good: Real wood, sturdy, straightforward assembly. The bad: Real wood is very heavy, assembly is very difficult without two people (don’t believe the overachievers), just low enough where you can say it’s too low to the ground. The ugly: my headboard material has discoloration throughout. The picture shows a cream vs white. A stain? Production defect? Whatever it is, it’s all over and uneven.I notified the seller and I got this,“ Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we are closed on the weekends. However, we would like to assure you, this email has been sent over to the concerned department and one of our executives will respond to you, on a priority basis at the start of the next business week. Thanks and Regards, VirVentures”Nothing and it’s been more than 5 business days. As you can imagine returning this heavy and oversized item through Amazon is beyond an inconvenience. I imagine they have no plans to reply to me.Not worth the gamble of $1,000.

Nice bed, exactly what we expected.
We have this bed for a week now.Nice, clean, modern design. It is a low bed and you should get used to it. No issue for us, no injuries so far caused by low wide edge. Maybe for shorter people it may be an issue.Customer service is great, the bed was delivered faster than supposed to be. A box with nightstands came one day later than the other three, but customer service representative stayed in touch and sent response really fast.

Sturdy, strong, beaufitul, and pretty easy to put together.
almost 90 days and kicking strong. Everything already mentioned is accurate. you need 2 people. ok, not need, but i highly recommend it. Be ready to need to put in some strong arm and finagle with some tools to make the final connection with the headboard. It doesn't align perfectly or easily, but everything else was smooth. The boards are solid. My 4 and 3-year-olds stand on them all the time and no issues. The bed slightly creeks (i belive from the screws on the baseboard where the mattress lies) but that only happens in those "active" moments and it isn't loud. We absolutely love it.OH , BUT ONE CAVEAT WE DIDNT THINK about, be ready to hit your shins every now and then on the edge, and it hurts. So it will take a bit of adjusting as to not hit it and walk a little wide than you'e used to.
