The machine quit working and I need to have it ...
The machine quit working and I need to have it repaired. Will the manufacturer repair it for me? If so, I need to know the cost associated with the repair and where to send it.. Thank You

it works pretty good. Good power
When it works, it works pretty good. Good power, will cut 3/8" steel easily, and pierce 3/8" steel. But the machine has a mind of it's own, sometimes it works, some times you have to turn it off and back on to reset it to work again. I used the cutter lightly for a little over a year, and it died. Everlast did replace it, but I had to pay around $85 in shipping to them and back to me. This took at least 2 weeks or more. When I received the new unit it lasted a day, and died. I talked to Everlast and they will pay all shipping and send me a new unit, but all the waiting is no good. I'm in the middle of building multiple things, and I can't finish anything. I read many good reviews on this plasma cutter, so I don't know why I'm getting the ones that suck. Anyway to finish the review, if you need a good reliable plasma cutter, and you have a small business or large business, don't buy the Supercut 50. One more thing I thought was weird, the second unit Everlast sent me would flash 666 when turned on, then show amperage. It flashed 666 everytime I turned it on. That's interesting!

Great for the hobbyist and homebrewer
I really wanted to get a higher end model using IGBTs instead of the older MOSFET switching technology on this, but couldn't justify the cost. A second major consideration is the unit, an inverter type, will run on 120vac--still waiting to wire a 240 outlet I can use. I've never used a plasma torch (but do weld), and found it fairly straightforward. The "manual", a half dozen printed pages, that came with it was very poor Chinglish without much relation to anything, but the PDF from the website was thorough and complete.I did call support, a couple times, mostly to clear up my ignorance. Had to leave a message each time, but he got back to me within a couple minutes, and was _very_ helpful, knowledgeable, and local, at least to the US. The current can be set on the front panel, but it didn't go to the rated 50amps, so I called. Voltage issue. My inverter welder's output is 140amp @120v VS 150amp @240, and I expected similar with the plasma unit. Not! Higher working voltage limits the amps more.Support went over the pros and cons of this unit--advised a separate ground connected to the 13 mm lug on the back--I used a jumper to a water pipe--he said this was important. It's briefly mentioned in the manual. He also recommended taking the case off (easy), and checking all connections and fittings. Most were fine, but a few needed tightening. There's a wire standoff for the nozzle--he doesn't use it--said if it is used, to bend it so the orifice is almost touching the work piece. I took it off. Also, put an inline drier on the air supply. I was testing with a small pancake compressor, but kept running out of air. Getting the pressure right is important.I do homebrewing and got it for cutting beer kegs to make vessels from--16 gage, 1/16" stainless steel. Also for some custom artistic metal work down the road a bit. Again, support said it was old technology, but for my purposes it should work fine. After making a jig, and digging out my larger compressor, I cut the top off a keg. It worked great! Prior to cutting, I tested on a piece of thick stainless. 25 amps and about 35 psi worked well. I took a 12" circle off the top--had to go back over a couple spots that either didn't get cut, or re-welded together. But pretty clean, quick, did what I wanted. Threw the breaker once, so I backed off from 25 amps to 20. When I went to clean up, fool that I am, I found I'd left the ground clamp on my test piece, and hadn't grounded my work piece! I'm amazed how well it performed anyway! So far so good. It's what I was hoping for and I'm quite satisfied. Recommended for the home hobbyist.

Spend more on a better unit
I used this unit on and off over a 14 month, purchased new in 2014, period not putting more than 20 minutes of actual cutting time on it. Stopped working so I put new consumables on it to see if they would make it spark. No go. Next I switched it over from 110vac to 220vac power and still not working. Green light is on, display is on, air blows but no action. Email to Everlast with a write up of all the details. Reply was "where did you buy it from". Then they ignored me for two days. I phone called in do jump start the process. Now I need to pay for shipping there and back. They will repair it or replace it. Wish I would have spent more money on a better unit..... No confidence in the repaired/replacement unit lasting.

what a waste of money
bought mine a couple years back but never ended up using it. I finally opened the package and found that there was nothing but the main unit included. no torch, no power plug( i can understand this), no consumables. nothing but the main unit. what a waste of money.

Everlast Plasma 50P great performer
I am an experienced tradesman who always consideres brand name quality tools. I concluded the 5 year warranty and the many options of the Supercut 50P Pilot ARC was reflective of a manufacturer who wanted to deliver a usable product and stand behind that product. I was tired of using saws alls, hack saws, grinders and belt sanders to fabricate my hot rod and other metal parts. I was planning a large fab job and needed a plasma cutter. The inverter technology along with the pilot arc option, which allows you to cut without cleaning were a must: Sometimes I recycle steel and it can be a little rusty. I received the machine directly from the manufacturer and delivery was very fast. I went right to work building upper frame mounts and lower axel mounts for an upgrade to coil over shocks. The machine performed great right out the box. The cutting tip has a foot guide which allows you to follow a speed square or other pattern to make straight cuts or repetitive shapes from a pattern. The unit assembled quickly and I run it on my 50A welding outlet: You have to buy your own plug and attach it to the power cord. This unit cuts smooth and fast. Better than my 14" chop saw! I did find one small problem. The units power switch broke but I called customer service and they sent me a new switch immediately. They offer to fix it for me but it was a simple 15 min fix so I replaced it myself. Once I opened the unit to replace the switch I found a loose bolt and a nut which fell off one of the internal transformers. I have read another review which also spoke of loose bolts on equipment shipped as far away as China. That is definitly something worth considering. All said, this is fun and this machine works great. The 4th state of matter instantly! Awesume!
