Organic Whole Bean Coffee Medium Roast (16oz) - Jamican Me Crazy Flavored

After Barrie House shut down, I discovered this to be the next best thing.

I highly recommend it; it has an exquisite flavor and aroma. I enjoy it to the fullest, at any time of day.

Reviewing coffee is a tricky exercise, because it basically comes down to personal preference of taste. The added flavors of this coffee, vanilla and carmel, taste smooth and natural. They combine to give me a single flavor, very distinct and very positive. It’s tastes good; however, I like dark roast coffee. I like the bold flavor of strong coffee blended with a sweet vanilla coffee cream. This coffee loses the coffee flavor that gets covered up by the added flavors. This coffee is very smooth. It has a mellow, “morning” flavor. It’s good, but it’s just not for me. Like I said, I miss the coffee flavor. The coffee beans are very fresh, and I love the bag they are packed in. Each time I open the bag, fresh aromas greet me. Really nice. The bag has a reseal lip that you don’t see in most coffee bags. It would appear that this would be a more effective way to keep the beans as fresh as possible for a longer period of time. I believe a lot of coffee drinkers will like this coffee. The muted coffee flavor is my one hang up I can’t get past.

Jamaican Me Crazy smells as good as it tastes. Flavor doesn't overpower the coffee though which is great. All around very good!

Pricy but very good!

My fellow dark brew lovers, this is probably not going to drive you crazy. But it was well received by young folks and those who prefer to drink but not taste the coffee. A usual cup for me is a dark French roast, with some hazelnut or vanilla creamer added. As such, the hints of vanilla and caramel definitely jived with my flavor profile. I mean, I can’t imagine a person not liking those things. I wasn’t able to detect the rum or chocolate, but those may have been overpowered by the aforementioned. They were not, however, overpowered by the coffee. The deep, strong taste and aroma I’m used to and long for was absent here, despite adding in an extra scoop like I always do. It did have a healthy amount of caffeine, at least compared to the less caffeinated dark brews. Not Peet’s level, thank goodness, but more than my Starbucks. I ended up bringing the bag to work to share with others, which is how I know it is someone’s cup of coffee even if it isn’t mine. It went down smoother for them than my usual tar colored brew.
