Good food, but expensive
The birds love it, it's really good for them, and because it is spicy I don't have to worry about it attracting rodents! It is expensive - it'll never be my go to day to day food - but it's great for birds that are stressed or recovering in some way. I do wish it came in bigger bags. The pellet size is perfect for cockatiels and budgies.

Two Wings UP! My Lovebirds LOVE Spicy HPF!! ❤️
My feathered kids (lovebirds) love, love, love Harrison’s Bird Foods products, especially Spicy High Potency Fine; just about as much as the Power Treats.I’ve been feeding my senior birds Harrison’s from day 1 after hatching. I hand-fed them Harrison’s mash, then switched over to pellets when they were old enough for solid food. One is 21+ years old, and the other is 12+. A pelleted diet ensures that they get the proper nutrition, even if they have fresh food (moist) phobias. On occasion, they are treated to dried fruits. The spicy HPF is fresh, has no odor to my nose, and is easy to dispense and clean up. I have not had a meal moth problem with pelleted foods. Storing their food in the freezer also keeps it fresher for longer. Rarely, if there are any leftovers in their dishes, I empty it into a ziplock bag and feed it to the wild birds outside after accumulating enough. Giving my fids fresh Harrison’s HPF daily is a must. The nitpickiness factor:Sadly, the Spicy High Potency Fine flavor is not for sale often enough on Amazon. I do feed them their regular High Potency Fine, sometimes with red chili flakes. Not often though. That seems to satisfy them when I run out of the Spicy HPF.The price has skyrocketed recently. I used to pay around $17.00 - $18.00 for a 1 lb. bag. But that price has jumped to the mid-$20s. I know there is a budget line of Harrison’s foods, which I haven’t tried. But I’m biased since my fids love the tried and true quality of the original line of Harrison’s Bird Foods; even if it’s more expensive than before. There’s no compromise. I hope for my feathered babies to live for a very long time more.
