Almost the perfect EDC tool
I own several Havalon knives and like all of them. I miss a regular non-replaceable blade on this one and it's a bit too heavy. The belt clip makes the other "belt loop hook" redundant for me. It's not my favorite Havalon but with some changes could be.

The pliers on this tool are a bit thicker and more useful, IMO, than those on my leatherman Skeeletool. The screwdriver base is a bit bulky and doesn't allow access to the screw if working in close quarters, as is often he case. If the driver were longer it might work better. The blade is sharp and has its place and usefulness but once again, it is not a substitute for the knife blade on my Skeletool EDC. My two cents.

I purchased this as an EDC blade to replace a lost Skeletool. Compared to the Skeletool, the Evolve is noticeably thicker, heavier, and more difficult to open with one hand. I'm skeptical about the EDC durability of the blades (I have broken nearly every one I've ever used) but decided the blade options combined with cheap replacements would be worth a try. Within a few hours after opening, I had already nicked my finger after brushing up against the guard which didn't adequately cover the recessed/contracted blade. I plan to give it a few weeks, but this knife may find a permanent home in a hunting backpack.

DISGRACEFULLY BAD LINER LOCKS.
I ORDERED THIS ITEM MULTIPLE TIMES.EACH AN EVERY TIME IT CAME WHERE THE LINER LOCKS THE EPITOME OF BARELY TOUCHED OR IT DIDNT TOUCH AT ALL. EXTREMLY UN ACCEPTABLE.THE LINER LOCKS SHOULD OPEN HALF WAY 50% OR FURTHER TO BE OPTIMAL AND ACCEPTABLE. IF THIS TOOL IS SENT TO ME FOR ALL THE RIDICULOUS INCONVIENCES THIS CAUSED ME.AN WITH PROPER ACCEPTABLE LINER LOCKS CAPABILITY. Not perfect, but still very nice.
All in all it's a nice tool. Attention to detail is the issue. The knife doesnt have a stopper so when its folded the blade edge rest on the housing. Also the inside knife housing on mine isnt completely painted, it looks like there is some oil substance. The gut hook is SHARP. The pliers line up perfectly, they get 7/5 on the pliers. The blades lock VERY snugly no complaints there.I would recommend this. Its works very well for what its designed for.

Sharp sharp sharp
Bone saw cut the breast bone of a deer with ease. Regular blade was so sharp it sliced through anything with very little pressure. Blades are super easy to change and I would recommend this tool to anyone as an all in one hunting tool
