Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Ultimate Guide

This guidebook comes in a journal-sized book with a magnetic flap in journal-style design. The cover and cover art are a beautiful blue (much richer color than the product page shows) with a hologram type image that shows different characters at different angles (See my pictures). The book itself is well put together with thick, beautiful pages and has sharp print and vivid images. There are a set of character cards in the front cover, many illustrated pages and sections, full bleed maps, and other various information. This is a great gift for anyone who is a fan of the series. Highly recommended.

This book was very informative about both the Percy Jackson story and Greek mythology. The book also had great illustrations along with some collective character cards

Since buying this book, my two boys (age 9 and 11) are devouring the entire publication list of Rick Riordan, including companion books such as this. They are simultaneously reading his books on Greek, Norse and Egyptian mythology. It's all they want to read now but I don't mind as the books are both entertaining and very educational. These boys really know mythology and a fair bit about Greek history and civilization. They got interested in these books after reading a children's version of Homer's Iliad and the Odyssey.

I got this guidebook for a 10 year old who loves Percy Jackson books. I thought this would complement them nicely. The book is attractive in its format- special clasp and bookmarks- and my little friend gasped when he saw it and just started to devour it! He loved it and found a lot of information in it. So glad I got this for his birthday!

My daughter (age 8) is thrilled with this book. Percy Jackson has gotten her into the Olympians, and this is a perfect reference guide that links the Riordan books to the ancient mythology it references. It comes with a set of baseball-like cards that she loves as a quick reference. The price and the value make it well worth it for Percy Jackson readers, and it doesn’t have spoilers for later books, so far as we can tell. (She’s on book 4.). My nephew (age 10) is reading the first book in the series, and I’m going to gift him a copy as well. He has to write a book report about it, and it’s an excellent consolidation of information as well as its providing background information that a student might not already have.

Fan de Percy Jackson, me suis dit pourquoi ne pas acheter un guide afin de retrouver toutes les informations concernant la saga. Malheureusement je suis resté sur ma faim car il manquait quand même certaines informations ou bien les informations étaient trop courtes... Par exemple, je m'attendais à une description détaillée des dieux tel qu'ils sont dans les livres mais seulement certains étaient décrit brièvement. J'esperais également une description détaillée des cabines, mais rien... La liste des dieux et le bestiaire à nouveau regroupent des informations provenant des livres et de la mythologie. Néanmoins la couverture du livre est superbe afin ses images en hologrammes et la fermeture magnétique. Les plans et les personnages sont superbement illustrés. Ce livre est un collector que tout les fans de Percy Jackson devraient avoir (même s'il est en anglais...). Les enfants l'adoreront.
