Dehydrated Hip and Joint a- ok!
I started using this off and on for the last few years but have recently started using it more often as my older dog seems to despise his newly acquired senior kibble status. I put this in about 1.5-2 cups of hot water and mix about 2-3 tbl with a fork. It dissolves well with no chunks or floaty bits. I use this broth to thoroughly coat his kibble to offset whatever he hates about his senior food. It has so far worked. Regarding the effectiveness of this, I am not too sure. Darby is 118 pound (his vet approved weight) St. Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix. If i were to use the recommended dosage for his size, I would be buying him a new jar every few days lol I use this as a healthy way to flavor his food, which has been working well. His poo hasn't changed or anything since using this. As for the smell, it smells like dehydrated broth with some herbs in it. I am unsure what people are expecting it to smell like. Bone broth doesn't have the greatest smell to begin with if you are not used to it. The smell of turmeric is also noted which might be putting people off, but it smells like what it is. Overall, the product seems good, and I will continue using it. If I had a smaller dog, I would definitely be using it specifically for its health benefits instead of just a flavor enhancer.

Great option for cats! Last a really long time.
I absolutely love this broth powder. I purchased this for my cats back in 2023. I am now about to make my second order because I finally ran out. It lasted me TWO years! I use a small ramekin to mix 2 teaspoons of broth powder with warm water and then I pour that overs their wet food (this method warms up refrigerated leftovers as well). They absolutely love it!

Lab approved- Simple Natural Easy
Go for it! 5 simple, natural ingredients, made in USA. Chicken Bone Broth, Pumpkin Powder, Fish Oil Powder, Turmeric and Parsley --My review is for the chicken bone broth option (6oz). I usually make my own chicken bone broth or buy dehydrated bone broth from The Honest Kitchen, which we like a lot- but so far only have the Turkey and Beef varieties. At least on Amazon they do not seem to carry a chicken bone broth. So I started looking into other brands as I wanted to add a dehydrated chicken bone into the rotation without always having to make it myself. --I have 2 young labs and 4 cats of various ages. I usually just use the bone broth with the dogs, but I do offer it to my cats- especially my elderly ones. The dogs get two nice meals a day with minimal to no treats (although they are labs, they actually don't care for treats, and tend to be picky with food). I provide them a portion of their high quality kibble, add in some finely chopped fruits and vegetables, usually a sprinkle of some sort of protein, and a spoonful of yogurt or pumpkin. Then over all of this, I ladle warm bone broth over top; which I think really brings the meal together. I feel good setting down a colorful bowl of food for them to enjoy. --I selected this particular product after comparing it to a few others. I look for limited, real ingredients, sourced and made in the USA. I prefer dehydrated over liquid, due to the ease of storage. I have purchased liquid varieties with success, but since I rotate through flavors, I don't always want to have a few open packages in my fridge. Or worse, forgetting about the product and the entire contents goes bad. The dehydrated tends to have more for the money, too. This pricing and ingredient list is similar to some of the stuff The Honest Kitchen offers, so I decided to try it out. --As with other varieties, you can scoop out a little powder and add it to some liquid. I always rough measure it. Sometimes it is more concentrated, sometimes more dilute- all depends on powder to water ratio. Be sure to measure if it is important to you. 1tbs to 1 cup warm water. 1/3 c prepared per 30 lbs of weight. -- The smell is fresh. The primary aroma is strong of parsley. The rest of it smells neutral yet earthy. It dissolved as expected in warm water. Contents comes in a small plastic container with screw on cap. --My labs ate their meals with this poured on top with no issue. I have yet to offer it to my cats. They are picky and I do not have high hopes for approval from them. Once I do, and if they decide to start lapping at it, I will be back to add that in. --In addition to adding it over food, I intend to make some hot weather dog treats with it. While my labs don't love treats usually, they like ice cubes. I figure to make some chicken bone broth icy treats, either by itself, or add in some other goodies. I reviewed some dehydrated goats milk that I plan to add into the treat making somehow. So far so good!

Great for cat coats but took a couple months
It took a couple months, but we saw improvement in our cats' coats & less flaky, itchy skin (we had to trust the process). The cats *hated it* when prepared with warm water, but will eat it sprinkled into their dry food. We mix up a big batch of their dry food with it in a sealable container so it's ready whenever we need it. The powder's smell isn't great, but neither is wet cat food, bone broth, or meat-based pet foods - the powder's smell is tolerable (esp if not mixing with hot water)

Buy it!
Love this stuff. I have a Frenchie who was a rescue with major gut, coat and skin issues. I've tried many products to get her into shape and I finally found the perfect mix! This was a game changer! Her food is Honest Kitchen grain free beef, then Vet Promise Mushroom Multivitamin, and this Natures Diet bone broth to moisten her food. Her coat is back, thick and shiny, no itching, no Frito smell, joints are healthy, breathing is good and no gut issues! Highly recommend!

Waste of money. Tumeric smell is overpowering.
I bought this for my 75 pound German Shepherd. Unfortunately for me it was a waste of money, and unfortunately for him he won't eat it. The smell of the tumeric is overpowering and that's literally all I can smell. I measured out everything correctly for his size and weight and added it to his food. I use wet food mixed with dry food. So I added it to that. He smelled it and walked away. He eventually came back, smelled it, licked it and walked away again and never came back to eat it. I had to clean his bowl out and give him new food without the bone broth in it.

Dog approved
Worth the price as it lasts a long time and if you’re like me, I make my dog food, but it needs a little extra flavor and many things you cannot add like bullion or broth so this is definitely worth the buy versus other products that are more expensive and you get less and my dog loves it

Kidney Stones/Bladder Issues
One of my dogs had kidney stones and bladder issues after using this product. Once I stopped using this product my dog was just fine. My other dog however didn’t have any issues at all. I’m leaving this product a 3 star review because my dogs did enjoy the taste and I believe pumpkin and all the nutrients in this product are great for some dogs. Just not all dogs. If you use this product make sure your dog doesn’t have issues with kidney stones or bladder issues. One of the main ingredients Carotene can cause kidney stones in some dogs. Just make sure you know your pets health before you give your dog this product. My dog that was effected didn’t eat for 3 days and he kept peeing in the house because he couldn’t hold his bladder ( he is house trained 10 years ). He’s back to good health now but it was a scary situation for him and I because he loves meal time and gets so excited. But after using this product he wouldn’t even eat a treat or chicken or anything I tried to feed him. However, my other dog was just fine. Again, just be careful I hope this review can help someone out in deciding if this product is good for their dog.
