Camera is dry
I video a lot of Rugby and Football and very often the weather does not cooperate. I have only had to use this once so far. Can't believe my luck since it is spring. Seems like it is going to work out great to keep my camera dry which is all I really want. Beats the heck out of the homemade thing I used last year made from an old raincoat.

Had to return
Had to return because it did not fit the camera it was intended for. Need more selections for the various cameras in use.

Works great to keep the rain off of my Canon XF100 - it stores easily and fits nicely
The media could not be loaded. I used this on a recent documentary shoot in Toronto, to protect my Canon XF100 from the frequent rain showers I encountered while I was there. It was a bit tricky to get on at first - as it doesn't come with instructions and I'd assumed that the front was actually the back. Once I figured out how to orient it properly, it fit like a charm. You do need to remove the microphone mount in order to get it on. That means that when you're using this you're either stuck using the onboard mike - and there is a small opening in front of the cover so that sound can get to the internal microphone - or you have to set up an external mike that's not mounted on the actual camera (try: on a boom pole with an umbrella). It's also worth noting that there's no room in here to open up the lcd screen - so you're stuck looking through the viewfinder when you have this rain cover on.I've found that the best way to fit this on quickly is as follows: (1) first, secure the camera to a tripod, if you plan to shoot that way; (2) remove the mike mount, if you haven't done so already; (3) fit the microphone opening onto the front of the onboard mike; (4) secure the front around the lens, with the drawstrap and velcro (it's best to keep the lens hood on, both because it makes it easier to secure the cover around the lens, and because the hood will provide extra protection against rain hitting the lens directly); (5) be sure that the viewfinder is accessible in back; (6) secure the rest of the cover with velcro along the edges, leaving a space, obviously, for the tripod mount and space in back if you need to access any controls. Conveniently, the back side of the cover is transparent, so you can see through to the controls, so that you don't have to access them blindly. My only complaint, and this is relatively minor, is that it's somewhat inconvenient to have to remove the microphone mount every time I use this - since I almost always have the mount on to secure my external shotgun mike, this means I have to carry a screwdriver with me wherever I go to take it off in case of rain.About the video: the quality's not so good since I didn't have a decent camera handy to shoot this thing, but otherwise this is just a very brief look at how to put it on and how it looks on the Canon XF100. (I should mention that Kata gave me this bag to try out on my shoot, and then write about. I'm very glad I had it with me when I was out and about in the rain - it's a very useful accessory.)

Takes a bit of playing to get it work
I use this on my Canon Vixia HF G10, which it is not necessarily recommended for... although it is for the XA10, which (outside of the handle) has the same body as the G10.It's good, and I'm confident it will protect my camera. But, it is very bulky, and takes some playing around to get everything positioned correctly. It is not a quick rain slicker, it takes some planning beforehand.Additionally, it is not easy to use if you're planning on holding your camera. It pulls on the camera body, will shut the LCD door, and make things a little difficult. On a tripod, no problem. In your hand, not so much. So if you're planning on carrying the camera, this is not the cover you want or need.

works great for canon xf100
This fits fine on canon xf100 or similar size and style recorders. I read in an above review that you are stuck using the viewfinder. That's not accurate, only because you can reverse the position of the lcd viewer (ie, twist it and then replace it to the side, where the screen is facing 90 degrees out from left side.) You can! And, while there are no guarantees to torrential downpours and some seepage possible into lens, the overall quality and ease of use is really nice. Perfect protection from snow, the purpose I bought it.
