It works, so far, in charging a microsoft surface pro 8
I took a chance and bought this usb-c to surface-connect adapter, as I could not find any information anywhere to support that it works in charging a surface pro 8. I hooked it up, and hoped that it would not fry my surface pro 8, and it actually worked. The company that sells this product should update their advertising on amazon, and all other venues, that this product will work in charging a surface pro 8.

Best purchase I could've made
This is literally the best accesory for the surface pro line of products, given that Microsoft uses the cheapest rubber known to man on their chargers, they are annoying to haul everywhere and take too much space they're the worst If you own a high wattage USB-C charger, this adapter will make your life so much easier, just make sure it can deliver about 35W continous for the pro 3-4 models and 45W for the pro 5-6 I can recommend the Anker PowerPort Atom III as it can deliver up to 45W on the USB-C out. And you will also need a USB-C to USB-C cable I use the Anker USB C Cable 100W 10ft because not every USB-C cable can support 45W of continous charging, just keep that in mind With this set up I can charge the Surface and my phone at the same time extremely quickly and its so portable, I love it!

Better than cable that comes with laptop
I used it with other items to store my laptop in a multi-charging stand that my wife has that fits her iPhone and MAC laptops. I have a Microsoft laptop that needs a different charger. This connection cable allows me, with a short USB-C cable and an appropriate charging block, to also use my wife's multi-charging stand. Now we no longer have laptops and various charging cables lying around on tables and countertops.
