Great product
These seeds produce delicious tasting vegetables (if/when you know what you're doing). I had no knowledge of growing vegetables from seed. I purchased Park Seed 40 cell seed starting kit and grew my seeds from this seed vault inside to get them started. Transplanted when each had 2 sets of leaves to container garden. Most all seeds came up, although I had least with the cucumbers. Planted peas, cauliflower, beets, lettuce, zucchini. So much had to be done to my soil to get them to truly grow as one would expect. Phosphorus (bone meal I ordered on Amazon) was the key to beets, and getting good healthy roots on the plants. Also helps produce the actual vegetable. Used plenty of Miracle Gro for the leafy items, which helped them grow. Ate the cauliflower leaves, got no cauliflower heads because I didn't know to plant it before it got too warm.I was VERY pleased with this product because as a first time gardener, I was able to eat peas, lettuce, beets, beet greens, cauliflower greens from my garden. Getting ready to start the next vegetables inside at the end of July. My beets are absolutely delicious. Took a lot of reading to know I had to add phosphorus, but as soon as I did they beet roots. Also, starting inside with the seed starting kit was absolutely key for me as a novice. Got the self watering kit so it didn't take much effort to get the right amount of water to the seeds. I think they took more water than I would have thought.Highly recommend this, and the metal container (the vault) is really a good design. I think it's got some type of rubber gasket feeling product where the lid is. Seeds are in individual mylar type resealable packages with instructions for each type of seed on it.Oh, and magnesium (food grade vegetable garden type) in form of epsom salts helps vegetables grow bigger and sweeter. If you plant the cauliflower, tiny inch worm looking worms love to eat the cauliflower leaves. Diatomaceous earth (also food grade) around the planted seeds would keep bug population down.Good luck to all who try these. I think it's well worth the effort. Fresh greens/veggies that are organic and non-gmo are excellent tasting and make me feel healthier after eating them.

Most cost effective garden in a can (with seeds that actually grow)!
If you treat these vaults properly (don't leave them out when it's 100 degrees - keep them stored in a cool dry place) - you will not have any difficulty getting good germination rates into a 2nd or 3rd season. I haven't planted every last variety from these kits, but I can certainly vouch for the corn, tomatoes, spinach, romaine, beets, and green beans growing successfully. This company is veteran owned, and they believe in having seeds that will succeed. They are packaged to last, and they certainly do.

what a crock is right
they say these are for survivalists so your life is depending on this and they 1 dont germinate or very poorly and then dont grow well and then set vegetables that are substandardOh I really want to do thisbuy your seed anywhere else and put them in a plastic bag with a small desicant and you cant do wosreand wish I could give no stars instead of onei did this 2 years now and all were like this depending on which veggie i planted and have never had problems with ferry morse or any off beat brand seedsyou decide!!!

Bad Seeds did not germinate
We wasted a $100 on 3 of these. No were on the packaging does ot say use the seeds within 5 years. Not a survival seed vault maybe should call it a seed vault or heirloom seed vault but if i was dependabd in survival in an emergency well i am screwed. They were going to offer me a $40 dollar credit which does not even compensate for tbe money lost in this but they ended up not being able to even credit me due to seeds being over 5 years old. I feel very mislead and sold something other than it is

Seeds are duds
I bought this pack 2 years ago. First year got zip. Not a single thing popped up. I thought it was bad soil, not enough water, etc. Moved to a new house with a really nice greenhouse. NOTHING! So disappointed.

Seeds didn't produce
I purchased this item last seasons but decided to try them this season and none of them germinated even though I left the seed canister and packs sealed.
