I've read some semi-negative reviews that say these speakers don't sound good compared to larger speakers
Look at the price, now compare these speakers to other speakers in the same price/size range... they'll blow them out of the water. Klipsch is phenomenal. I've read some semi-negative reviews that say these speakers don't sound good compared to larger speakers... well... NO... no they don't... and if you want that sound, you should buy larger speakers. You wouldn't buy a pony and say "Hey! This thing doesn't run as fast as a race horse!" would you?!I used to sell home theater equipment for a living... we carried Bose, Polk, and many other speaker brands... Klipsch was always the most impressive. If we wanted to really "wow" a customer and get them excited about setting up their home theater, we showed them Klipsch; not Bose. Bose is a great product, but highly over-rated when compared side-by-side to the other top-notch speaker companies out there. Bose isn't terrible by any means, they make great products (I have Bose in my car and love it), but I just don't prefer them when I compare them with Klipsch. That being said, these are my favorite speakers. I've heard the Klipsch systems with the larger almost-bookshelf speakers and they were absolutely better, but that was also reflected in the price tag. ALSO, I didn't want anything too large and intense-looking for my living room because I didn't want to push my luck too much with my significant other, so these are perfect. They're fairly small and have a HUGE sound. They fit my needs perfectly. I'm about to move and for the time-being I plan to just use 2 of the speakers with a subwoofer for a nice little 2.1 system until I'm ready to run wires and go back to 5.1. It's nice to have that flexibility.

Best for the money

The center speaker is too focused on specific frequencies.
These are good speakers for the price point. HOWEVER, the center speaker appears to be so focused on speech frequencies that it overwhelms the over speakers. I have two larger speakers which are very good, these are part of my 7.1 Sony system. I have adjusted the other speakers to be louder than the center speaker an that helps but sometimes the center speaker gets all of the attention. I thought it was my Receiver, but after making separate adjustments for each of the 7 speakers its the center speaker steals the show in a way that is hard to balance. I wanted Dolby surround for relatively little money, and these speakers show it. Still for the money they are great speakers.

Just... Wow
Such beautiful sound out of such little speakers. They make everything sound like it's happening in the room!Things I've noticed:* They are MUCH louder than my previous speakers so I don't have to turn the stereo up as loudly as I used to. I had to adjust my number system for how loud I wanted things (for example, I used to play movies at -12 on my Receiver but now I set it to -18).* My Yamaha Receiver says that their low-end cutoff is 190htz. It is obvious that they require a sub, a very good sub to match, so if you don't have a sub and you're not planning on buying one, go buy a different set of speakers (and regret it).* The mounts work fine once their up on the wall... putting them there is a pain but only done once. No big deal.* I read a review that said the speaker covers come off easily. Well no one dumb enough to try to pick up a speaker like this by the front grill should be allowed to have a speaker like this... or be allowed to use sharp utensils.* I paired this up with a Klipsch Synergy Sub-10 for an amazing price. OMG what an amazing sound. I don't think I'll ever have to upgrade again!Enjoy your Klipschs!
