Lifetime 90491 Portable Basketball System, 48 Inch Shatterproof Backboard w/Basketball Included

The basketball goal is sturdy and a great buy. Unfortunately, the height adjustment lever was missing and this made the goal unusable. My single star reflects the terrible customer service Alphaben provided to resolve the issue. They said they didn't carry the replacement part and insisted I return this now assembled 10’ basketball goal in exchange for a complete replacement. After several email exchanges advising the basketball goal has been assembled with a rubber mallet and is not something which can be disassembled and put back into a box for return, I reached my limit. In frustration, we contacted Lifetime (the manufacturer) directly and they are not only shipping the missing part directly to us, but are including a free basketball. Now this is service!! Why couldn’t Alphaben take this step on the customers behalf? They could learn a BIG lesson In excellent customer service from Lifetime!

Listen, this basketball hoop is simply Great! It is easy to install (despite what other reviewers may have said) and it seems durable. A few things you need to keep in mind are:1- When installing the counterbalance spring, set the backboard to the highest setting while the whole system is up. Then get on a ladder and pull the spring to the designated position. This is the easiest way to do this. Any other way will not work and may end up in an accident. Make sure two people are working together on this part of the process2- Use a combination of sand and water to fill out the base. This will give more stability and will ensure the system is secureMy only issue with this purchase was not the system itself, but the fact that the ball was not included with the system (as promised by the seller). The customer service team was very attentive to my request and was quick in resolving this issue for us.This is a great system..... BUY IT

For the price this is a really nice net. Not sure why people had an issue putting it together if you follow the instructions it’s easy. There is an app that walks you through it. For the most part I did it myself and my 9 yr old helped me at the end to mount the backboard to the pole. Use 2 plastic or wood horses to help you balance it out while mounting the backboard.

Three hours of concentrated effort to put together. Great hoop, the kids can't stay away from it.

Great durable product. I was nervous that many of Amazon’s stuff is that cheap stuff made in China, but this is a strong product worth the money. Took me about 3 hours to put together. Could be shorter if you have help and are somewhat handy.

My nephew had no trouble putting it together for my daughter, even though it was time consuming and the directions weren't the best It works great for her practicing in our yard.

1st: The video that is told to download(BILT) to follow do not match the instructions sent. Some of the parts are different. There are extra parts in the video, which we could figure this out. The video skips parts, which again had to figure out ourselves. example: the video never put pole 2 to 3. etc. 2nd: The biggest problem. . the holes in the back of backboard were to small for the bolts to go through. With out my neighbor who came over with special tools to drill the holes a little bigger, I have no idea what we would have done. It should have not been this hard with so many problems. 3rd: I'm not really sure this was "brand new". It might have been a resell because there were marks on it that someone may have already tired to put it together. At this time, it is unknown if it works. We have not done the last step yet, which is fill the base with water or sand.

Awesome! Boys love it and love how it's adjustable to their own height!
