Philips SRP1103/27 Universal Remote Control featuring Simple Setup (Black)

it does exactly what i needed it to do, replace a missing original Philips remote. the one drawback is some Philips TV's are programmed by the remote where you need to press a certain color coded button to make the menu accept a command and there are none on this so it takes a little trial and error to know what buttons may do what on some menu's.

I purchased this remote to replace a missing remote for a used Phillips 32" tv I bought. This remote did not work and I was very disappointed. I tried the codes 6 times a day for a week and was unsuccessful. The seller was awesome but the product itself does not work with all Phillip's televisions as described.

I purchased this in March for my the television in my son's room that he watches DVDs on. The TV is a Westinghouse that I bought for my grad school apartment but had lost the remote in one of many moves since then and the DVD player is a Phillips that had a remote that eventually stopped working. It is just a TV and DVD player with no cable box, so it is nothing elaborate at all. I bought it mostly to replace the DVD remote and was completely prepared to live without the TV remote. After seeing some of the reviews and also seeing the price, I would have been happy with it just replacing the DVD remote so I was pleasantly surprised when it worked for both.Setup was quick, straightforward, and easy and took less than five minutes in my case. The code book seemed to cover nearly every manufacturer imaginable and I am buying another to replace a dead remote on an older TV. With the low price it is really hard to go wrong.

Handles "most" of the functions I need, but not all. And, many of the available functions are not easily accessed. However, this little package handles a lot in a very small unit.

I bought this as a replacement remote for the one my toddler son destroyed. I bought this over other fancier remotes because we only use it for the basic functions of turning the tv on/off, the volume and channel changing. Only some of the buttons work. I know the arrow buttons to navigate through the menu options do not work. Now, I am not sure that this is a defective remote as I never actually programmed it for our tv. It just worked right out of the box so I never got around to programming it to see if those buttons would work then. Overall, it does what we need it to and it is a fair price.

This remote control unit was surprisingly easy to use and program my channels on my old style Phillips TV. This unit works for many different brands of TV's. The simple 1,2,3 step instructions were easy to follow.

I was looking for a TV/VCR/DVD remote. I didn't read the description carefully. No VCR support - my fault for missing that.Then I tried the Phillips remote on a different TV. It turned a Toshiba set on/off, channels worked fine, but did NOT control remotely the volume. When that didn't work, I gave up on it.It is a useless device - to me.
