Works great in my 16.3" Lava Lamp
I tried a generic appliance bulb in my large lava lamp - but it didn't generate adequate heat to operate well. Bought these and they worked great - just like the original bulb.

It's the best night lite
I cannot live without my Lava lamp. It's the best night lite. I needed bulbs and didn't want to shop on foot so I ordered on-line which saves time and energy. I ordered 3 packages, they two per pack. First bulb I inserted blew out. Good thing I ordered spares. Second bulb worked and I'm happy. I recommend the purchase as it beats shopping on foot.

Perfect fit
Even though the bulb in my old, original 16” lava lamp (from the 80s) still worked, I found the wax sluggish and it would end up being in one big, slow moving blob, no matter how long I left it on. Another reviewer said his lamp’s wax’s performance improved with this new bulb, so I gave it a try. My old lamp is working great again! A lot more action and plenty of small to medium wax bubbles moving around. However, the bulbs in the ad were frosted. Mine came as clear bulbs. I actually prefer this as the coloured liquid in the lamp is more pronounced now. Edit: the pictures in the ad have been updated to show clear bulbs. FYI: this is an A15 bulb with an E26 base & it’s 40 watts. Update: after over a year & a half, my lava lamp is still working great. I’m still using the first bulb from this 2-pack. I turn my lava lamps on at least once a week for 6-12 hours. Great bulbs!
