Notice a little improvement
I heard about this essential oil for dogs from a co-worker. I bought it because I have 2 Maltese who have separation anxiety and tend to get antsy when people visit. I’ve had it in my diffuser going non-stop for almost a week. We have noticed a slight change in the dogs. They don’t bark randomly at nothing anymore and seem less “hyper”. The big plus is that it has a pleasant smell and keeps the house smelling nice.

Made my house smell like Animal Hospital
I put 3 stars to give it the benefit of the doubt that it does calm pets. I do not know as I only used it twice and personally did not see a difference but who knows if I had used it longer. I had to return the product because of the smell. If you like the smell at an Animal Hospital you will love it if not don’t buy. My house smelled like the Vets clinic. So maybe it does calm pets but could not stand the smell!

Impressed!
We have a jack russell - border collie mix (aka HYPER!) - our groomer used some lavender on him and made a huge difference to how he reacts to getting groomed -- he does not have a fit like he did before.Browsing the endless lavender options I decided on this product, I liked the variety of ingredients and felt it might work well for him - but i needed to find a method of use too...I saw cute little collar dangles that could be used - but they break easily.I saw collar options - some are replaceable, or using a regular collar. I was concerned about how well it would apply to most colors, or needing to get a collar that would absorb oil property - yet not get damaged -- plus concerned about any oil touching his skin -- so I skipped that idea.I then saw some people mentioning using bandanas - perfect, easy to put on, easy to remove - washable etc -- I found some beautifully made bandanas, that snap on - fit great - and look handsome.I applied a couple drops of this oil to the bandana - strong scent ( you need very very very little of this to make an impact - try one or two drops max) -- but he responded immediately & he likes it... calmed, and even became extra lovingGreat formula -- very pleased..... for those concerned about the ingredients and safety for use with dogs - if you are not applying it topically this is not an issue -- use it on a bandana or something removable that keeps the oil away from the skin but able to be enjoyed - and you are set.

Smells awful but does help our dog.
The smell of this is almost nauseating, I actually find my husband and myself apologizing to guests because our house stinks. BUT it does help our dog calm down, it's not a miracle cure but there is a noticeable difference in his anxiety and his reactiveness when we have this going on our diffuser.

No effect
Tried this on my pug and it did nothing. I even timed it so see if it calmed him down...nope. After 2 hours he was still the same. It made him start running like crazy the first couple of times. Requested a refund.

It Really Works!
My Shiba Inu recently developed isolation distress and my husband and I are trying everything we can to help him. We’re even planning to start behavioral sessions. I figured essential oils are worth a try especially since it got good reviews. It worked like a charm...I dropped 4 drops into my hands, rubbed my hands together, and gave him a massage from head to tail close to his bedtime. Within a few minutes, he was knocked out. We haven’t tried it with attempts to leave out the door yet but it’s good to know that it has some effect on him. The great smell is a plus! The smell is pretty strong so next time I will only use 3 drops. It also lingers for a while so I don't plan to reapply it until the smell goes away.I noticed some contradictory information about the product. The label on the bottle says that the product is produced in the USA but the cardboard box it came in said it was made in India.

Relaxes our dog during thunderstorms
My dog has anxiety when there are thunderstorms so I ordered this essential oil to put in our diffuser for her. I was pleasantly surprised to see the bottle stated that is made in the USA. We used a couple of drops in the diffuser and left it running during the storm we had a couple of nights ago. Usually she is pacing around during the storms but as you can see she is quite relaxed, lying on her dog bed! Also this gives quite a pleasant aroma throughout the house. Since we only needed a couple of drops I think this will last a long time so definitely worth the cost. No one complained about the ‘weird smell’ which kids do with some of the other essential oils either.

Who knows...
Has a nice manly smell to it, and it seems to make our dog a bit calmer when it comes to vocalizing his discomfort, but hasn't been as calming and reduced his anxiety as much as we hoped. We also play relaxing spa music while we are away with the diffuser so I can't say which helps better. Also to note, our chorkie still experiences slight seperation anxiety which we are still working on to fix. Instead of being vocal about how he's feeling, this stuff just makes him sit there quietly shaking and trembling. It feels more like he's drugged. Watching on the camera his new "held captive trembling panic" that he gets when it's in the diffuser and we aren't home makes me feel like a terrible dog momma. Just our experience anyway.

Smells great
Very soothing scent for dogs and people! My dog gets scared when there is a storm or steady rain. I just added a few drops to a spray bottle and put some on her back and pet her a few times. She stopped panting hard and stopped shaking and just layed down. It seemed to help take the edge off of her fears! It also works nicely in a diffuser and smells great! I used it overnight and had a great sleep

The Calming Oil is definitely helpful.
Our 14 year old dog within a period of a few weeks became completely blind. The calming oil has become part of group of things we use to help him become less anxious as he tries to adapt to his new circumstances. We find that when we use the oil in an atomizer throughout the day as well as a rub-on on his fur, the benefits are more pronounced thanwith the rub-on alone. The oil smells wonderful so we enjoy it also. Hope that helps.

Disappointed
Bought this for my dog with separation anxiety, because I was willing to try anything. Unfortunately, when I got this it stunk so bad even the dog hated it! Smelled like patchouli. I just threw the whole thing in the garbage. What a waste. If you like that smell, I’m sure it will work great. It just didn’t work for us.
