Durable and effective
These are great - really sturdy leads that don't splinter easily. I had to buy a specific Staedtler sharpener as I found my existing sharpeners were not up to the task.

Work well.
Have tried a few highlighter pencils. These work the best of all that I have tried. Seem softer, which highlights well. Make sure you have a large sharpener as these do require sharpening more often than lead pencils.

Good highlighters
Probably a more eco conscious alternative to liquid highlighter pens, these pencils do a good job of highlighting text. Dependent on the pen used or text to be highlighted there is no smearing (wait until your writing is dry before highlighting). They’re not as vibrant as liquid highlighters but do a good job. The yellow pencil is the best in my opinion but all the colours work. These pencils are a good alternative to liquid highlighters.

Great highlighters
These are great for highlighting words, phrases, etc. especially on thin, tissue-like paper such as generally found in Bibles.

i have used this highlighter pencil in the past. I lent one of the pencils to my sibling and she refused to give it back cos she loved it. It is a must for anyone who reads books. The shape is very comfortable.

Suitable for inkjet or laser copies.
I own a bunch of different kinds and among them Staedtler stands the tallest. Works great on Laser or inkjet copies as well. You might not believe it , but highlighter #1 purchased over 8 years ago and I still use it on and off. It is amazing that still has not dried up and kept the same quality as day 1.
