I needed to fix the water line to my frig's ice machine. The 1/4" compression fittings came with brass ferrules which is not what you want when repairing a plastic water line. I'd be replacing one type of leak for another one. Using these plastic ferrules with a brass insert sleeve I was able to fix the line. No more leaks. This was an excellent addition to my tool kit.
