I'm so glad that I tried this shower filter. Our community water supply smells so nasty and is full of chemicals and chlorine. It leaves white chalk on shampoo lids, and my scalp and skin are itchy as soon as I dry off. Its so gross. So I gave this filter a chance and I'm so happy with it. I don't smell chlorine during my showers now and there isn't white chalk on everything anymore. It was affordable and came with 2 additional filters. The refill filters are also affordable IMO. It installed easily on my shower faucet. I can recommend this filter.

It filters great and we felt the difference in our skin immediately. No leaks! Great price for 3 and excellent packaging. It arrived quickly. However, the filter is about four+ inches between the pipe and your shower head, so purchase carefully. We had a wide rainfall showerhead and after install, our showerhead was soooo low, like for a child. We had to tilt it out toward the wall to use. To temporarily solve the issue we bought a hand held that sits a bit higher. But more money and another install. I plan to use the three filters, but in the future buy yet another showerhead with a filter in the handle instead.

The first thing I noticed when this arrived was the size—it’s much bigger than I expected. I’ve seen other shower filters that are around 2 inches, but this one is about 6 inches long and 4 inches across. On the plus side, a larger filter likely means better filtration for the amount of water passing through it. However, it could be a problem for anyone with a low-mounted shower head, a tall person, or someone using a handheld showerhead instead of a fixed one. I highly recommend measuring 6 inches down from where your shower head currently sits to make sure the new placement will still be comfortable. My shower pipe is about 6 feet above the tub floor, and while the filter does lower my shower head, I’m only 5'3", so it doesn’t bother me. Installation was quick and easy—no tools required, which means swapping out the filter later will be just as simple. A small spool of plumber’s tape was included, though I didn’t need it. I made a couple of adjustments when installing. First, I swapped out the included washer/aerator for a regular rubber washer since my home already struggles with water pressure. I also tested two different installation points: the standard placement between the shower pipe and my handheld showerhead and an alternative placement between the shower handle mount and the hose. The latter helped maintain some extra clearance, though it limited the range of motion for the pivoting head slightly. In use, I noticed very little change in water pressure, which is great. So far, I haven’t seen any immediate improvements to my skin or hair, but I’ll update if anything changes with longer use. Aesthetic-wise, the chrome finish blends seamlessly with the rest of my bathroom fixtures. I also appreciate that it comes with two extra filters, meaning I won’t need to buy replacements for a while. That said, I wish the filters could be refilled with new filtration beads rather than replacing the entire plastic encasement—both for environmental and cost reasons. Value: The current price of this shower filter with two extra refills is $29.99 USD, which seems like a solid deal considering the total of three filters included.
