Replacement Analogue Analog Stick Thumbstick Joystick for Gamecube Controller

Poor fit and finish
I bought two of these for old GameCube controllers and they are just ok.As another reviewer already stated, without modification, they sit too low on the part that attaches to the controller causing the rubber part to rub on the face of the controller.I fixed this by putting tiny bits of toilet paper in the hole as was suggested by another reviewer. This achieved the correct height after a few attempts. (Careful to not go too high, or the bottom part can also start grinding against the body of the controller). Unfortunately, at the correct height, the sticks do not stay attached very well and are prone to coming loose mid use. I solved this by using a very small amount of white kids craft glue, and that is seeming to work for now. There is also a seam across the middle of the part where it looks like two pieces were joined together to make the part. Unfortunately, on one of mine, the seam was not very neat/flat and had extra hard plastic hanging off where the stick is supposed to click against the body of the controller when you rotate it.This caused a rough grinding sensation whenever I went all the way that direction on the controller.I was able to break most of the extra plastic off with very small needle nose pliers and smoothed it out a little with a tiny strip of very high grit finishing sandpaper. It isn’t perfect, but much better than it was.I am glad that this product is being offered in general, as a number of years ago, I could not find anything like this at all. However, this particular one has obviously cut corners in terms of fit and finish. Don’t buy this expecting a pop in direct fit replacement.TLDR: Doesn’t fit without modification, mediocre quality in general. Actual rubber on thumb stick feels nice.

Thumbstick feels good. Not so much while using it.
The thumb stick itself feels far nicer than any other 3rd party thumb stick. But in terms of it being in the controller, I found that there is no click when I reach the edge, and when I spin it across the edge, it rubs against the bottom of the thumbstick, giving it a eraser or rubber like feeling. The problem can be solved by either increasing the height of the stick slightly, or by redesigning the bottom of the stick. That feeling might go away with wear, but I will update if anything else happens with intense use of this.Edit: If you are going to buy this, you should take off the rubber cap, and put it on an official Gamecube controller.

Don't expect it to work on every gc controller they made like 5 different versions
Depending on you controller these will work differently. I hate the old og orange gc controller and its better then the old one now but is to short and slides. For my remake black gc controller it seems to work great but that is my spare and I use it less.
