Easycap Video and Audio Capturing Device Directly from TV

I have ordered easier cap on 5th april and received it on 10th april 2018.The is totally brand new. The delivery package was okay as it came just inside Amazon with no bubble type package for safety. I am using the product right now. I have found problems with this product which are as below-1)The driver on the small cd is not getting copied on my laptop. My dvd writer is just fine and without any problem.2)Downloaded the software from online. It was Ulead tvr 2.5 whereas the driver in the cd was ulead tvr 2.0.So the serial key do not work with the 2.5 version.3) I had to search for serial key matching the version and I have found it. But for any other man it'll be difficult to find the key.4)After rectifying the key problem connecting the set top box to the rca directly starts to play the visuals from the set top box. However, you won't get the audio directly. For that you have to go to the property settings >Mixer device and under it select speakers(realtek high definition)as your default playback device and select recording device as microphone(av to usb2.0) and then click okay. After this everything should work perfectly.4)one more problem is the usb extender cable. It doesn't work but since I have extra better quality usb cable extenders, it doesn't bother me much about the faulty cable.To conclude, I have personally tested it and without any second thought just buy it if you wish to. As its a very good and cheap priced yet best product of its kind which replaces the need to buy high cost tv tuners. I am attaching the pictures alongwith it.I'll update my review after some months of usage. 😊update:- There is a delay in the Lip synchronization while using with the usb cable extender. So I would like to recommend to not use the usb cable extender.Update - 22nd April 2020I have been using this device until now without any problems and also in fullscreen mode. If anyone needs the the software I am using with the device, he/she can comment below and I will provide a link for the same.

Definitely I won't suggest anyone to buy this as the picture quality is not good and cant be used in windows 10 AMD processors. It will work on windows 7 OS with Intel processor. Overall quality is cheap and not worth the money. I would suggest to go for higher one like VIDBOX or Elgato price is high but its bang for a buck.

Finally got something to convert my mini dv's to digital format. It works alright but seller hasn't provided proper info regarding its support. First of all sofware only supports till windows 7 and not windows 10. Luckily I had an older device with win 7. The instruction manual is a mix of english and chinese. So I would recommend to download a proper one from online resources and watch YouTube videos for the same. Other than that good value for money and does what it says.

Before ordering this product, I had many doubts, but none of the hundreds of reviews could clear my doubts. So I am giving all the details.Price was Rs.506. Supplier was AlexVyan Brothers. It is a simple sleek compact device wherein the USB port in the TV Tuner device goes into the Laptop, and the input is 3RCA from a DTH, DVD player, Handycam or TV. The Device is USB 2.0 compliant. On inserting the device into the USB port, the driver gets installed automatically. A CD is given in the package which gives a Honestech video editing software which can Play, Capture, and Edit the input. This software is actually Ulead Video Studio 8.0. It can even burn the video in a DVD. The seller has also mentioned a website from which a driver software can be downloaded incase the Honestech software gives an error message. I have used a more advanced version of this software. So this software was simple for me. But for those who are using this software for the first time, a PDF help file gets downloaded which gives elaborate, simple and illustrated instructions on how to use the software. It is a very simple but very powerful software, which you can use even for cutting and joining other videos from your system or DVD.The editing software and the TV Tuner works in Windows 2000, XP, 7/8/10 and Vista. I used this device to connect Tatasky to my Laptop running on Windows 10 and to my PC running on Windows 8. The software can convert the video to iPod and PSP also. In the Edit option, many wonderful transition effects have been given which can be added while making a movie. The settings window has lots of options which we can customize as per our requirement. This software also has an option which allows us to video record ourself through the Laptop camera or Web Camera.It does not require any external power supply. An USB extension cord is also provided. Purchase a HIGH quality 3RCA cord from the market. I wish the suppliers had included this also in the package. There may be a 5 to 10% loss in video quality. But even then, the video quality is excellent. Colour rendition is like original. Audio is good.This is an excellent product. Buy it without any hesitation. 5 stars.

I wanted to upgrade to a new recorder. I had Beetle one that I purchased around 3 years ago. The Beetle one stared giving a humming sound.EasyCap is inferior to my existing recorder in video quality. Image flickers when I view video recording back, while it is very smooth in Beetle.There is an awkward bug as well. Default NTSC encoding is not giving good color quality in recording but PAL is giving. But if I do a scheduled recording it switches back to NTSC. Therefore scheduled recording is of no use to me.Despite my purchase which I thought let me upgrade to one where there are so many good reviews I am still doing recording with my previous recorder - Beetle
