Best "stationary" monitor stand under $100
I've bought a handful of monitor arms/stands over the past few years and have never been really satisfied with any of them. The Ergotech Freedom Arm feels premium (reflected in the price, of course) and allows for smooth and flexible positioning. However, The base pole is too short, and the arm too thick/wide, making it difficult to actually fit on your desk if you have speakers, etc. After using the Freedom Arm, I realized I didn't need a monitor arm that swiveled or moved; I just wanted something to save desk space and raise the monitor. I tried two kinds of the "basic" monitor mounts with the black steel poles (think Vivo, etc.) but those felt cheap and looked incredibly out of place in my minimalist desk setup. They also were never the correct height: either way too short or way too tall.I'd been hunting for a new monitor arm/stand for a long time now and because I was buying a new monitor (Alienware AW3418DW) I figured it was the right time to just try a new monitor mounting setup. Stumbled upon the EleTab Single Monitor Desk Mount (Vivo also makes an identical model but that one has an ugly "VIVO" logo on the front bottom of the stand) one night, and after confirming that it would be the right height (I needed 17-18 inches from the top of the desk) and would support my massive monitor, I made the purchase. After all, it's just $30 anyway. When I received and unboxed the monitor stand, I was a bit apprehensive about its ability to support my 34" Alienware Ultrawide monitor. But I've been using this setup for almost a month now and everything's still fine. Hell, the monitor seems even more stable than when I had it on my other monitor arms/stands.I have two main gripes with this stand though:1. The clamp is honestly quite terribly designed. It's restrictive and if you're not careful, you will punch two holes on the surface of your desk.2. The ball joint between the stand and the monitor is pretty bad for trying to straighten everything perfectly. I wish they had given it less flexibility here so that you can line everything up better. However, the absolute BEST part about this monitor is the way the modular VESA mount plate just slides into the stand section. This makes setting up your monitor an absolute breeze as you can screw in the monitor onto the mounting plate first, then just drop it into the bracket on the stand. Who needs friends???For $30, this stand does the job exceedingly well and looks super sleek (the cable management system is great too!).---Full disclosure: Amazon offered me $3 to review this product since it's a "new" product/listing. I have never done Amazon reviews before (and honestly don't plan on doing any more because I hate writing) but $3 is $3.

Good quality stand, but offers no flexibility for table mounting. [EDIT]
I was aware that this mount was for thin tables. That being said, I went ahead and placed an order on this thinking that I could mount this the other way by drilling a hole through the desk, etc. My desk is slightly thicker than an inch and I wrongly assumed they would provide a screw that would be long enough to at least mount the monitor the other method. Nope. I'm disappointed that they didn't think of including maybe an extra-longer screw in the package for people with slightly thicker desks. The inability to mount the stand on more desks is seriously mind boggling in this day in age. Mind you, I was aware that it might not work on my desk. I clearly read the compatibility concerns. But in the end I was not impressed with how this stand can't compensate for a slightly thicker desk.I have not mounted and tried the stand as of yet so hopefully I'll have an update once I figure out a work around for this flaw.[EDIT] - I went to the local hardware store and was able to find a longer screw of the same threading size/pattern. The monitor I'm using is a 32" BenQ monitor that weighs around 20 lbs. This monitor stand has no issues holding the monitor up. In fact, the balance on the stand is near perfect. The stand WITH the heavy monitor on it can surprisingly stand on its own before I even screw in the bolt from the underside. I'm pretty impressed with that seeing as how it eliminates any front-heaviness that may potentially stress the stand's mounting points. 10/10 on that aspect. My only problem which still holds is the fact that there is no flexibility offered with this mounting bracket. You'll need to drill a hole through and go buy a longer bolt if you have a desk that's over 1 inch thick. The other bracket is static and will only fit on the specified thickness. Please include additional bolts for different thicknesses or update the mounting bracket to accommodate for other desks.

Great monitor mount
Supports my 32â monitor easily and is very sturdy. Adjustments can be made readily easy and has cable support management system built in.The only downside is you clamp it down in place so moving the monitor, while a simple process, is a bit of a chore. There was no need for drilling in the desk though that is an option for a more permanent placement nor was there any fear of damaging the desk from screwing the clamp in place, it came with a protective plate to put in place.

Great But...
I want to give this 5 Stars but I had trouble with fitment and set up. The mount is clean and the materials are great but the set up was ehh...I would say iâm great at setting up Products especially relating to tech so when I had trouble thatâs saying a lot. Putting it together and attaching the monitor to it was easy, itâs the way it attaches to the desk I had trouble with.I wanted to clamp it on instead of drilling a hole into my desk but the metal clamp is pre-set to a certain thickness (1.3â) so my average desk (1.5â) was to big. Realizing that I had to undo everything and plan to drill a hole into my desk. Also it does have a wire holder but it definitely doesnât hide any wires.I hope they make a second version of this that the clamp can adjust to the size table different people have and has a wire HIDING system.

Perfect
Used to replace the massive stand with the Dell Alienware AW3418DW on my rather shallow desk. Mounter through the desk. Worked Perfect.
