Super chewy!
This is a super chewy bar with soft bits of various nuts and seeds. The flavor is vague fruity and a little sweet, though I really wish there was less rosemary in it as I find the rosemary detracts from things a little. It's the size of a normal protein bar with a hefty 14 grams protein in it: very fair at about a dollar per serving.

GREAT BAR
I believe we received this and my husband ate it.

Difficult to eat, taste was blah. I tossed out the other 2 bars I ordered.
I was not able to take a bite of this bar because it was too hard. It took some effort, but I cut the bar into several bite-size pieces using a sharp knife. Once a piece was in my mouth, it warmed up and then I could chew it. Also, the flavor was yucky.

Love the texture and taste
I actually bought a couple of these at natural grocers, and love it. If you’re not used to clean eating, you will complaint about taste (because it’s not overly sweet).

Don’t buy unless you have no celiac, jaws of steel, and can find it for less $.
Bought this at my local supermarket thinking it was Gluten Free per the packaging, in small print on the back it says “Manufactured On Equipment that processes wheat, egg, milk, soy, peanuts and tree nuts” - that’s too much risk for anyone with significant celiac disease (like my wife). -2 stars for gluten-free-kinda (it’s an all or nothing problem for some people). At $2.50 per bar at the store, it’s a bit pricey to become a staple snack. Larabar’s range between $1-1.25 depending on the sale. So -1 star for the price.Mark Sisson’s brand, ingredients and nutritional profile are solid +2 stars. The bar has a nice flavor but it’s a bit too hard, requiring a lot of chewing due to the almost caramel consistency - and the nut chunks can be a bit sharp at times for one’s gums. -1 star.

I like the chewy texture of these bars
I like the chewy texture of these bars, plus the mild sweetness. They don’t have an intense taste, but are enjoyable and a healthy alternative to other paleo friendly bars on the naked because if the low sugar content.
