Tremendous for the price (on sale)
Phone doesn't have an audio jack so I paired these with the Linsoul Kiwi Ears AD1 Type-C to 3.5mm Female Headphone DAC Adapter Cable and am extremely happy with the results. The headphones are lightweight, not tight on the head or the ears, and the sound is smooth and full with no adjustment to phone's eq settings. There's enough bass to drive Storm by Otyken and enough full-spectrum detail to make any Melanie De Biasio tune just melt you into the couch. 2012 remix of Take a Pebble by ELP will give you a full spectrum experience with maybe just a tad too much edge on the high end, but overall tremendous. Balance is fine, no issues noted. Power of my phone is more than adequate to drive these. Did a lot of cruising on Youtube looking for wired headphones (#1 to cut cost and #2 to increase fidelity over BT) and these stack up really well with the Sennheiser 600 series in most reviews. The soundstage is more than acceptable and songs like Take Five highlight it well. But the cost was still up there for me to justify (msrp $265, usual selling price $180). When they went on sale this week, I took a chance. I am NOT an audiophile, but I know what I like. Don't expect any sound cancelling. Phone calls come in crystal clear. Cord is a bit long and proprietary, but that's better than too short and proprietary. Packaging is pedestrian but I couldn't care any less about the aesthetics of the box they came in. I'm not a gamer. For me, these are strictly for kicking back and listening to music and Sennheiser came through in my opinion.

What I'd Expect From Sennheiser
These headphones are well made, comfortable and reproduce a good range of sound accurately. The foam rings fit completely and comfortably over my large ears, which was a concern when I was considering this purchase. The cups are clearly marked L and R. The weight is moderate for OTE headphones. The pressure between the cups is enough to keep them seated on your head without causing a pressure headache. The sound is very good. The bass response will NOT blow you away, but it's adequate. I use these for watching movies and listening to MP3 files late at night and to plug into my guitar amp when practicing (a MUST in an apartment complex with paper-thin walls). The jack adapter is a GREAT feature. I've used a lot of OTE headphones over the years, some quite expensive and others, not so much. I'd rate these near the top of the ones I've used. They're a decent value. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Great sound, comfortable and lightweight
Amazing quality headphones. They are mostly made of plastic, however they don't feel cheap at all. What shocks you the most is how lightweight they are, and are extremely comfortable, both on the headband (has cushioning) and the pressure on around the earlobes (or the lack of thereof), the velour earpads are soft and breathable. I was initially going to get the HD560s ones, but boy I'm glad I spend a little bit more. The sound is amazing and spacious. Compared to what I hear about the HD560s, its less piercing/shouty. It super detailed and analytical. Amazing upgrade and I'm using them with Sennheiser's own gaming DAC GSX 1000. Using them mainly for gaming. I can pinpoint enemy positions all day long, and its great for single player story games too. With the DAC's 7.1 surround mode (best out there) its truly a Hi-Fi cinematic experience. Bass is good enough for me, they are not a bass cannon, so if that is important for you, you may not like them, but if you are here, looking for an open back pair of cans, you know what you are getting already... Finally, I love the copper color/accents, they look nice too!

Best sounding headset I've ever heard, but it's also my first proper headset.
I read and read and read and finally got sick of the back and forth and audiophile language that was way over my head. I try to research everything I buy when possible but there are some things that I can't understand without a whole mess of learning. So long story short I bought these. At least for me they're really expensive. They were a big purchase. But now I've got em' on my head and holy smokes I might never plug my speakers in again. This is freaking amazing. I've never heard sound like this. It's so good. I literally got distracted trying to proofread this review because the chorus hit on The Guilty Party by While She Sleeps. The audio quality actually made me forget how to read for a second. I'm so freaking happy. This is my first set of proper headphones, and I am beyond impressed. Also the cups go completely over my ears so they're really comfy. I do have to get used to the cord but I'll figure it out. I'm 33 and have literally never used an over ear headphone for more than a day. These are so comfy. The sound is actually mental. I can't even imagine what those really expensive headsets sound like. Because for me this is incredible.

Phenomenal
Transcending the musical experience in a way I didn’t know was possible! Honestly, well worth the money. Comfortable fit, nice style, cool origin story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Basically *the* open-back headphone at $200
Deep bass (surprisingly so for open-back dynamic), good soundstage and very flat response. Just great value for around $200. There's a bit of a nub that protrudes from the driver which I initially worried would press into my ear and be uncomfortable, but that has not been an issue (mileage may vary based on ear shape, though mine are fairly large). The provided cable isn't coiled so after some time started to only work at certain angles, but this is easy enough to replace.

Amazing!
I've searched far and wide for a good upgrade to my HD598's. Tried a load of brands but always ended up coming back to my 598s Some examples: Meze 105 AER they sounded too similar and didn't have an upgraded sound Sivga Answer: Good but they had poor soundstage, very bad for the competitive games I play. Sennheiser was my true home all along. These were the perfect upgrade to me. Retaining the excellent soundstage but having the upgraded non veiled sound I was looking for. At first these were tighter than my 598s and I was wondering about the lightened clamp force from the 560s in the advertising was about. But after a month or so of use these lightened up and feel just like my 598s. I did buy a headband cover preamtively (GEVO one) for these because they changed the padding from velour to pleather. Don't want any flakiness to happen as it usually does with pleather.

Simply lovely
These were on sale on the Sennheiser Store for about half price. An absolute steal. I normally mix and master on Genelec studio monitors, but needed to work late at night. Headphones never cut it for me. These do. Open and transparent sounding with subtle bass. Not as flat as the 600 series (so I read), but I wanted something that better reflects what I do, i.e. headphones with a bit more emphasis in the bass area without being boomy. There is TOO much choice in the Sennheiser range, and I think it's impossible to make a choice based on reviews. But I'm REALLY happy with these. Love the copper accents, though that's a completely personal and unimportant aspect of these headphones.

These are awesome!
I thought this would be heavy but it is surprisingly light on my head and I can’t even tell that I have the headphones on. Sound is amazing, the bass is not head throbbing to the point I get headaches. I played Hans Zimmer for hours with the bass booster enabled on Spotify EQ-Lossless and DTS:X, it felt like I was in a new dimension. Gaming-wise, I haven’t tested it for that long but BF6 sounds very good. I can hear everything. These are my first Sennheiser headphones and I’m very impressed with the quality and performance so far. I will keep these for a long time and buy another model in the future. Cheers!
