This facial massager is lightweight and comfortable to hold. It starts vibrating automatically when it touches your skin, which makes it very easy to use. The massage feels relaxing, and it has several different light modes to choose from. The controls are simple, and switching between the settings is quick. I’ve enjoyed using it as part of my skincare routine.

This is tiny, thin, and has a metal strip, running down the middle, that is bent. The heat function largely comes from that metal strip. To be honest, I have had a better version off of a certain well known Chinese company starting with a T. Had mine not gotten lost, I would have kept using that one. I got this as a replacement. Frankly, it does not work as well. It does not seem as strong. Also, I think the thinness makes it less effective. Benefits are little different than that from basic Gua Sha. In fact, if you are willing to Gua Sha for a little longer than I am, by hand, and better at it, Gua Sha might even be better. That said, I will keep it and continue to use it, because if you use it daily, for several days, it gives you about the same effect that the other one would give if you used it just once. At the end of the day, it’s better than nothing.

Safety warning: I had a very concerning experience with this device. While using it (it was not charging), it suddenly started vibrating on its own. I pressed the power button to turn it off, and the device appeared to register that I had switched it off, but it completely ignored the command and continued vibrating as if nothing had happened. The upper part of the handle became very hot, which made me genuinely concerned that it could overheat or catch fire. I had to place it on a ceramic tile floor and monitor it. It continued vibrating uncontrollably for about 30 minutes before finally shutting off by itself. Thankfully, there was no smoke, swelling, or burning smell, but a device that ignores the power-off command and overheats is a serious safety concern. I no longer feel safe using it and hope the manufacturer investigates this issue.
