Works well
Thought I'd upgrade my old laptop and Komputerbay had exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price. My first surprise was the 2 x 1Gb RAM chips arrived 2 days earlier than originally quoted, it was well packed and the label was easy for the Postie to read which is often not the case. I put the new RAM into my laptop on switched it on and "voila" I was up and running. The laptop is now a lot faster than before which makes it so much easier to surf the Internet. Although I now have 2Gb of RAM courtesy of Komputerbay the computer it self robs some memory to run the video so I have ended up with 1.8Gb which is fine for what I want to do. Would I use Komputerbay again? Yes. Would I recommend them? Yes. Only time will tell if the product will last, I understand that some RAM memory sold from other suppliers is inferior and only lasts a few months.

Works great, doesn't cost the earth
Went looking for memory for my recently inherited, ex-corporate IBM laptop, expecting it to either no longer exist, or be so rare as to be ludicrously expensive. When I found this product, I pretty much just clicked the buy link straight away. It was a perfectly reasonable price and lower by a good margin than most others, so I decided to go for it, despite not knowing much about Komputerbay. I'm glad I did, the memory has been absolutely perfect since I installed it, and has done exactly what I needed it to do. It has turned an ageing laptop from a lump of junk to a useful tool. The days when 512Mb was a sensible amount of RAM are long gone, but it turns out 1.5Gb isn't too shabby, depending on what you do with it. Suffice it to say, I'm happy, and if you buy this, you will be too.

Cheapest and best 1GB RAM upgrade available
I got an old HP Laptop from my son which was running really slow (It took ages to boot up etc; using Windows XP Home Edition). I decided to upgrade the RAM to it's Max eg: 2Gb and looked at all the options available via the web. I decided on purchasing 2 x 1 Gb DDR SODIMM (200 pin) 333 Mhz memory cards from Komputerbay via the Amazon web site which were by far the cheapest available memory cards. I have now installed and used these memory cards and am more than happy with the great improvement in performance with this OLD HP Laptop. Best buy in years - 2 x 1 GB memory cards for £32! Beats buying a new laptop. 5 STAR RATING!

RAM worked great; prompt arrival; value
I needed RAM for an older Dell Latitude laptop that still works well but was tight on RAM. I ordered this item form KOMPUTERBAY via Amazon.co.uk and it arrived promptly. On insertion in the Dell, it worked a charm and the PC is much the better for it. There are only a few sources of DDR333 / PC2700 ram available these days, so nice to see KOMPUTERBAY still keep a stock at sensible prices for those of us keeping our PCs going.I have also purchased (modern) DDR3 RAM from KOMPUTERBAY and it also has worked out fine. Finally, I have withheld one star for the lack of a clear VAT invoice to accompany the goods - my accounts people hound me for this and the page I can re-print from Amazon (through whom I purchase the goods) states "This is not a VAT invoice". This will not impact most people, but it is something they should sort out between them (Amazon and KOMPUTERBAY) ASAP.Product: A1 - Delivery: A1 - Service: A2 - no clear VAT invoice. Recommended as a supplier.

Either a dud or incompatible
I purchased the Komputerbay 1GB memory (£19 incl delivery) to upgrade my Toshiba Qosmio F10. I tried it on its own and in combination with the existing 512MB memory. In neither case did the laptop boot up. With the 512MB back in the slot the machine was fine (if slow). I returned the 1GB memory to Amazon and received a prompt refund. I have since purchased memory with the same specification direct from Crucial which was more expensive (£27.74). Amazon don't stock Crucial memory with this spec. The Crucial memory worked immediately in combination with my existing 512MB memory. My conclusion is that either the Komputerbay memory was faulty, or it is not as compatible as that supplied by Crucial, - who guarantee compatibility, or your money back.

Well what can I say first stick that arrived was on the limit for the day of arrival but that could have the postal service,it was DOA so no good what so ever I got an rma for it cost me £1.85 to send back recorded delivery and then waited 2 and a half weeks for the replacement this one worked thankfully hope it lasts I wouldn`t buy again just to save about £3 next time I would go for a reputable well known brand such as Crucial or Kingston.

Excellent
I ordered this ram module, 1GB, to use in my old laptop Compaq nx9030. Although we know that this kind of ram is expensive and it's not a good idea to invest in such old computer, I bought it due to 2 reasons. The first was the price, more or less a month ago 17,50 pounds. In my opinion is a good price. The second one was because I needed, of course.A month later the ram is working perfectly with one ram module original of 256. If I had to buy again, I would buy it. Definitely.
