Just felt goosebumps when reading this book for the first time to my daughter. It is inspiring and plain old awesome. Reminds us what we've accomplished in the past as a country and what we're capable of achieving together in the future.

The book gives a short historical perspective on the evolution of travel and how it progressed to space travel plus more information about the first moon landing including the Apollo 11 spacecraft, the rocket, the voyage and the astronauts.

I loved how the author made this entire book a journey. By highlighting changes and accomplishments that occurred on Earth in such a brilliant and seamless way, readers get highlights from history while waiting for the moon to get her wish. The mission to the Moon is told is such a kid-friendly manner that young ones will love learning about one of America’s greatest achievements. The back matter is outstanding. This book is a must have!

This is a lovely, sweet book about patience and perseverance. Told in easily understood language and adorable illustrations, we are taken through millions of years worth of history in just a few short pages. A perfect book for budding astronauts in the family!

Bought for a 2.5year old who was starting to always want to go outside at night to see the moon. I had forgotten the phases of the moon, and this book does great teaching the phases of the moon simply for kids. Such a cute book we are using it as the theme for 3year birthday party!

This has become my space obsessed 3 year old son’s favorite book. The illustrations are lovely and the story is simple for children but educational as well. I read this book about 10 times a day and I still enjoy it.
