Love the burner. Came with everything we needed - including a little packet of the pipe paste. The hose for whistle reduction is pretty long - too long for our little fireplace, so we just used the tube that was already on the fireplace. You can definitely hear the gas as it moves through the burner, but the TV drowns-out the noise. If the fire is up really high, there is a loud whistle for sure! But, I feel that when we turn it down to get rid of the whistle, the fire is plenty high and roaring. Loving the look! We have the 24" burner...

This item arrived timely and complete, and in perfect condition. We disconnected our old concrete gas log contraption and replaced it with this unit, which comes complete with the hose that you connect between the wall (where your gas comes into the fireplace) and this H-burner. We laid it right on the floor of the fireplace, bought 50 pounds of fireglass (that's the right amount for our standard-sized fireplace) and poured it in. It's beautiful. To finish it off, we went to our local fireplace store and ordered a metal 'sculpture' to lay on top of the glass. Without it, the fireplace looks really empty, especially when you don't have a fire burning. Anyway, if you're looking for a different look, especially if you want a more modern appearance, give this some thought. It was a lot more affordable here on Amazon than at our fireplace store (as was the fireglass).

Everything about it is great except I didn't receive the 90degree adapter shown in the advertisement and I'm not sure what is so "whistle free" about this? Mine still whistles..... Do you have any advice or trouble shooting tips to help out?

I had someone replace my.log gas fireplace with a similar "glass" system in another room. It cost $500 for him to paint, install burner , glass etc.I decided to do it myself in master bedroom. Bought this unit,3 bags of clear glass from amazon, used left.over paint. Took an hour to remove old logs, clean, paint and install. Total cost under $125 This burner is great, simple to.put in and burns a really nice shape. I actually used the connector from old unit and just put this h burner with the one adaptor to it. Simple and big savings

Install was easy, fitment was correct, seems like a quality product imo, just like their fireglass. Replaced linear burner and logs, looks AWESOME with AF fire glass on renovated fireplace! I see some saying low flame. Be careful about getting sand and other debris in the holes its supposed to go under not in.

Burner is great for converting gas logs to fire glass. Gas flex line was not in the box although box and product description says it's included.

I purchased a fire place log set at a garage sale. I needed a gas fire log burner. I purchased this one because it is good size for my fireplace, and it works well with fire glass in case I want to get rid of the logs. It had everything I needed to hook it up in my fireplace. I covered the burner with some lava rock and glowing ember material. It works great!
