General Finishes Exterior 450 Water Based Topcoat, 1 Quart, Flat

This is my second purchase of 450 flat finish. I LOVE this product!!!!I have a test piece of wood that has been sitting on my deck rail through a brutal winter.The piece of wood looks no different now than the day I set it on the deck rail! Through moisture, snow, rain, bird poop. The piece of wood still looks amazing!I am using three coats to protect my newly made Adirondack chairs. I know they will be safe through our spring and summer seasons. I'm also sure if I left them out in the snow they would be just fine too!This is a wonderful product that won't change the look, color, or clarity of your wooden projects.

Did not apply as smooth as the flat out flat or flat of semi in the regular poly, but finish is more durable

This stuff is expensive and worth it. I am using it to seal a cypress, tongue and groove, patio ceiling. It goes on smooth, dries fast, and water based for easy cleanup. My project will not be receiving direct sunlight or exposed to the elements, so I cannot speak to it's durability. Their 600 sq ft coverage is optimistic. I am getting about 350 with a brush application. One coat on the interior and two coats on the exposed sections. I am using FLAT and keeping the boards a natural finish.

Great for maintaining outdoor pieces like benches, but have also used it for refinishing furniture tops like kitchen table. Takes heat from hot dishes and condensation from drinks.

Very pleased. As other reviewers mentioned. it does have a little sheen to it - I would call it eggshell. It was just what I wanted. I think the satin finish would have been too shiny.

Preserves and helps restore original wood color

Produces a very cloudy looking finish. I also use the gloss and the flat is noticeably cloudy.

Best FLAT clear coat on the market. Well worth the premium cost.
