New Balance Men's Mw813 Walking Shoe

First of all I hate buying shoes over the internet, without trying them on my feet before purchase. I rely on reviews!I was a NIKE fan, only buying NIKE shoes from the 1970's until today..... beginning with their LD1000's when I ran marathons until recently. This is only my worthless opinion that ...Politics should remain Politics...Sports should remain Sports and Shoes should remain Shoes...nothing more and nothing less....in my opinion:)My foot size is normally 9.5 regular.....9.5 D.....for Birkenstock and European shoe styles it is always a perfect 42 regular............I purchased NB 813 size 10 regular and it is an absolutely perfect fit!!!I spent the time to review fit size in Amazon reviews for this specific shoe and my impression was for this shoes "it could be slightly on the small size". So I bought 1/2 size larger and in the same width....which for me was perfect!!NB 813 with the Rollbar ...obviously helps my supination/under-pronation, which is an uncommon condition (<10% of the population). Pronation is much more common and many people attest that the Rollbar helps tremendously with that condition.I was thinking about changing the insole inserts but that is not necessary for me personally.The style of this shoe is (OK) a 3-4 stars...........but who cares......it is very comfortable shoe in leather and makes a great work/walking shoe. The "N" is barely visible on the side of the shoe in brown color and is great for the casual work environment.There is no need to buy the NB 1700 which does not have the "N" for the very casual work environment, from my perspective.Assuming that NB doesn't change this style like they did for the 811/812 I will purchase this shoe again in the future when needed. I guess the 811 was absolutely fantastic in the past and better than the 813 from my impression of the reviews.If this has been helpful please click the helpful button below...Thank you.NB please don't change a winning combination solely for a "new and improved version" which turns out to be worse than the original...listen to your buyers before changing a model....Thank you

I bought two pair of these shoes for a new job where I am on my feet walking a LOT. These shoes have not disappointed. After approximately 100 days, they are holding up well. I do polish them and have replaced the insoles with custom orthotics I need and they look and feel great. They are not "stylish" but they are good for my feet and I'll take performance over style. Overall, it's a show I'd buy again.
