These wings are great. When folded they’re pretty unobtrusive, and when flared they’re spectacular. I’m 6’ and wear a 48” jacket and they still look impressive on me.They don’t feel super sturdy, as other reviewers have noted, but I personally didn’t have an issue. If you’re concerned about that, it would be pretty trivial to replace the screws with better ones from the hardware store and replace the strings with thin cables, would be like $5 and 30 minutes of work.The only downside to these is the size of the straps that hold them on. The wings are sized for an adult, but the straps seem child sized. I managed to squeeze them over my arms, but it was a two person effort. This would be easy to fix by getting some cheap nylon strap and making longer straps.

The media could not be loaded. As a baller on a budget i bought these wings to diy my halloween costume “fallen angel” and they worked amazing. They’re lightweight, durable, super strong, and can fold up completely to fit in the car. Since I had such a “big” costume i couldn’t fit through most doors but the wings open and close and whenever i needed to I could easily slide them off. Many of my friends and family loved the costume and would constantly pull on the strings to open them and not once did i have to worry about them breaking. Even with the weight of the feathers and glue they were pretty sturdy. I’d 100% recommend for anyone wanting a simple and easy “template” for cosplay/costume wings, they work amazing.

I'm a cosplayer who hasn't had any wings in the past, so I got these and feathers, at first impression it looks nice although the strings on the back scratch on the plastic which is very loud, and once I started adding feathers the sound only got louder, but over all these are a nice pair of wings for a base, they work well and are quite sturdy.Edit note: the picture is showing my progress and during this the weight of them were very light, but if you add feathers they get quite heavy. Comfort wise, I suggest not wearing them for hours at a time, the straps will leave marks.

My son loved these. They were pretty amazing. He even wore them to school, he is a sophomore. He raised eyebrows everywhere, and he even got an amazing smile from a teacher across the hall conducting class who usually doesn't deviate...stood completely still watching my son slowly open these great sized cool looking wings, his own students got up out of their seats to come see haha ... distracted his own class! Sooooo many compliments, and made my son happy as he paid for them with his own money to create this year's dream costume! They will however not last long. One gust of wind (and I imagine many other incidences) quite easily broke one wing from operating. So for the price, and if you don't mind a one time use and you're careful (and it's not windy) you're good!!!UPDATE SUMMER 2021- He's still talking about these wings and wants to use them again. He did fix the one wing. I don't know how. Here are some additional close up pics from today after seeing so many questions about them. The two pull cords are separate and they crisscross on the back attached to a plastic board centered on the back between the wings. Pulled separately they elevate (open) one wing at a time or both together if you choose to pull at the same time. There are two plastic tubes the cords thread through on their way to the wings. There is a black tank he has put over this for his next costume and that is what the extra black fabric is that you see. There is NO cover over the back of the wing mechanism.

I was very impressed with this wing set and can’t believe the quality for price.Pros:- Great deal- bright red really contrasts with the black.- sturdy frame sits fairly comfortably on back (with caveat, see below)- Wings open very wide, for a big wow-factor, and fold up pretty tightly.- The strings were easy to pullThings to keep in mind (I’d call them ‘cons’ except I really like the wings)- sometimes I had to search for the strings a bit as they would swing to the back.- I had to walk through doors a bit sideways, and would every so often knock them on the door.- walking outside they would suddenly open wide in the wind, and there was no way to force them closed. It felt a bit like a kite, and definitely suddenly smacked (lightly) the friends walking beside me. It could be annoying if in a crowded outside area - though for us was just humerus.- The straps were pretty tight, and I am slender. I couldn’t see how to expand them, but didn’t look too hard yet. They fit me, but might be too tight for someone with broad shoulders.I would absolutely buy them again.

Fits well. These were the only adult wings I could find for my Halloween costume last year. Most wings I found were either for kids or dainty ones that were too small. I needed large, imposing wings that would be intimidating. These ones delivered. The shoulder straps are a little tight, definitely need another person to help you put them on. But they can be removed without assistance. Overall great product

They look great, but I lost the nut/bolt that holds it together in a short time. I got to open the wi ngs a few times, and that was about it. It was a tight fit, but they stayed put for sure.

These wings are well worth the money. I pained mine black with acrylic paint and they look like leather! They were easy to take apart and put back together too. Just be careful because the seams are fragile. But nothing some hot glue or a sewing machine can’t fix! The straps are pretty tight, but you can definitely make new ones if they don’t work for you as is. But they work awesome. Even if you just want the skeleton of them and not the wings! Very excited to have this as a new part of my cosplay closet!!
