Active Smooth 00 Nail Concealer Polish & Care - Rosé

I have weak brittle thin nails, with vertical and horizontal ridges. I have always had dry cuticles, so bad that the skin lifts and gets itchy. My nails were so bad this past winter, they were breaking in every direction and pealing like an onion. They were so short and still, I was constantly filing the breaks. They looked awful! I tried everything. Finally made my own lotion/balm and have been using it now 6 months. My nails and cuticles were finally starting to look better, but I still needed something to keep my nails from splitting at the ridges. I do not usually wear polish as it does not stay on. And my nails usually feel worse when I remove it, even using a non-acetone remover. I usually gave my nails a light buffing but that was no help. I was really tired of my nails constantly breaking. Then I started seeing online ads for Manucurist products and I did my research. I have now been using the Active Smooth in the 00 color for 1 month and I am really pleased. The first week, I put on one coat. It dried quickly, like a minute or two. No base coat. It just gave my nails a bit of shine. The next day, I decided to put on a second coat. It gave my nails a little more color, but very subtle. After a week, I added a third coat. My nails looked great for 2 whole weeks! I used a soy base polish remover then gave my hands a good wash with an oil-based hand soap. Lathered them up with my homemade balm and went to sleep. Next day, I applied 1 coat; second coat the following day. This time, it only lasted a week. To be fair, I was digging in the garden without gloves, and it chipped a little piece off one nail. So, I removed the polish, again, giving the nails a night to breathe. Next night, second coat. Now you can see the results. It has been 1 month. The picture I am including is the polish on for a whole week. These old nails look better than then have in years! Wish I took a before picture so you could compare yourself. I just like my nails to look neat and healthy. I cannot say that the polish was 100% of the improvement, but it seems to be the final piece of the puzzle. The real test will be when winter comes as the inside heat seems to suck the moisture right out of my nails. Will try to remember to update this in a few months.

My nails are HEAVILY ridged and slightly discolored. While this product did not completely smooth out ALL of the the ridges on ALL of my nails, it did fill most of the ridges almost completely. SOME of my nails still have MINIMAL ridges after applying this concealer, but the majority of my nails are completely smooth . This is the first time in years I have been able to use nail polish and look good. It also camouflaged the discoloration, so I was able to achieve uniform nail color. Absolutely love this product.

I love the way it goes on evenly, regardless of ridges - and remains durable for several days of hard wear. No need for base coat or topcoat- this one bottle does it all. I like to start with one coat and add a second the next day: it looks great even after only a single coat. I’m glad I subscribed and can now discard all the semi sheer products that just emphasize my ridges and wear poorly. This is the one I’ll stick with

The first time I used it, my nails hardened and lengthened and actually looked great. I liked it so much that I advised several of my friends to start using it and they did. But with time something changed. The polish hardened in the bottle and did not go on as smooth. When I used several layers, they started peeling after a few days. If I only used one layer, my nails started breaking easier. And after a few months, I noticed my nails were cracking and peeling in layers especially at the end of the nail. I stopped using it and they hardened and stopped cracking and breaking. I started using it again and the same thing happened. Again, I thought it was my nails until two of my friends I had recommended to who I had recommended to start using it said they had to stop because they noticed their nails were breaking, cracking and peeling especially at the ends. I didn’t tell them I was experiencing the same thing because was embarrassed since I had recommended it to them. When they stopped using theirs, they wanted to give theirs to me but I politely declined since I had also had to stop using mine. My nails are starting to harden and lengthen on their own so am giving them a rest and will then have to decide what to do. I am so disappointed because I reviewed all the nail polishes and thought I had found the best. I hadn’t even minded the high price if it had worked. But I am now back to trying to find another polish low in toxic chemicals but also works.

I purchased this polish to use while I was going through chemo, as my oncologist recommended. I use polish with as few chemicals as possible. It goes on smoothly and seems to hold up well without any issues. I can get about a week out of it before it starts to chip a little bit on the edges, but at that point my nails grow out and I am wanting to reapply it anyways. The color is a good neutral pink beige and looks very natural on my nails.

With 2 coats, the color looks just as advertised. It applies smoothly, fills ridges, and doesn't look as thick on my nails as other polishes (maybe b/c it's meant to be more sheer). It lasts about a week on my hands before chipping, but lasts longer on my toes. It’s a little pricey for what you're getting. But my nails are getting drier and I want a healthier option, so I'll probably continue with this product.

This is the best "bare" look polish I've ever used. Two coats, drys quick and makes my nails look healthy and shiny without looking like I'm wearing polish.

I had such high hopes for this because of all of the positive reviews for not only this product but the entire Manicurist line. I purchased the active smooth to cover nail damage from years of professional manicures, as well as, one of the polishes in the green line. They were both amazing, at first. I’ve had both products for less than two months and both are unusable at this point. The product is very thick and hard to remove from the bottle. The last couple of times I used them, they never dried completely; and I ended up having to remove them and use different products.

Hab diesen Nagellack zu Weihnachten verschenkt und er kam richtig gut an. Meine Schwiegermutter ist begeistert. Trocknet schnell, hält lange und hat eine schöne und dezente Farbe. Besonders wichtig, die Nägel fühlen sich danach auch weiterhin gesund und stabil an. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Looks incredible on the nails - very 'clean girl' aesthetic. Covered the utter shambles my nails are after a gel polish peeled off and left them all torn and textured. Genuinely like a concealer or filler for the nails. I used three coats and it's still translucent which I love, but you can't see the damaged nails except when you look very very closely. Can imagine this will look fantastic when my nails heal. Dries quickly too. Fully recommend. I have pale, pinkish skin and used the 01 Beige colour which is really flattering. Seems like a lot of money for a nail varnish but it's worth it.

Bellissimo da vedere e efficace nel proteggere e migliorare unghie deboli e fragili. È vero che bisogna avere pazienza perché impiega qualche minuto ad asciugare bene, ma penso che sia proprio quello che conferisce resistenza e elasticità alla pellicola che si forma. In venti giorni di uso non ho avuto né rotture né scheggiature, e per me è un miracolo vero e proprio. Altra cosa ottima è che si toglie facilmente anche con un solvente delicato, che aiuta quando si hanno unghie fragili.
