Rockport Men's City Smart Wingtip Shoes

Do not buy these shoes unless you want wet feet.These are the worst pair of shoes I have ever purchased and within six months the sole cracked so badly that my socks were soaked whenever it rained.I complained to Rockport and told the company I commuted to-and-from work (five days-week) - so walking a few miles a day in them. Rockport informed me that 'if worn most days then over 6 months one can in effect give a pair of shoes say 2-3 years average wear'.Most people do work ‘most days’ so basically Rockport is suggesting customers should not buy its City’ shoes for work purposes.Rockport added it had no other complaints about the shoes and that ‘we are unaware of any design or materials problems and have had no previous returns’.I pointed them to a review on Amazon on 5th Feb, 2016. That review said: 'After just a few months of use I noticed the soles on both shoes had split. This hasn't happened on previous Rockport shoes I've worn for much longer periods. Amazon maintained their great customer service standards sent a replacement pair, but the soles have also now split after only 3 weeks of use! Very disappointing quality from Rockport.'What did Rockport say to me in reply? Nothing, I was totally ignored.I do not have the time or energy to take this further. This review (my first ever) is my last act of frustration.Good luck shopping elsewhere and keeping your feet dry.

Saw these in a shop that doesn't sell them in half sizes, which is what I need. Got them at Amazon for a slightly lower price and they fit well. Synthetic soles tend to make my feet warmer than with leather soles, but that's OK in the winter. Leather uppers are very smart brogues and I like them. My previous favourite work shoe was the Clarks Dorset Limit, but their leather sole perishes relatively quickly if it gets wet from walking in the rain. The list price of each of these two brands of shoe is the same at the moment ~GBP 95.00.The main thing for me is that they don't need any wearing in.

Good looking shoe and comfy. BUT fell apart in 5 months. Poor build quality I'm afraid, that's the second pair I've had. If they get that sorted and you'll never need another shoe again.

This is the second pair of Rockport smart shoes I've purchased. Fit and comfort are superb. Makes me reluctant to wear my classic/tradittional leather soled work shoes, especially in winter. But look almost like the leather soled shoes I'd otherwise wear.

The shoes look to be injection modled plastic and smell just like it. I didn't even bother trying them on, went straight back.

Fit perfectly and very comfortable. Still new so can't comment on how well they'll last.

Really comfortable shoes which still look like new except both soles have split after 3 months. Sending them back today.

Good looking and comfortable - great if you have to commute.
