I bought this but the colour is more light blue, wondering if others had the same experience.Thought it would have been more medium to dark blue.

Mine was a bright blue. Not dark or blue-black. Closer to classic blue Shaffer ink.

I bought this thinking it was tattoo ink for shadding. I used it. Will it hurt me?

Probably not, but go see a doctor with the ink bottle just to be sure

Is Pelikan 4001 fugitive?

Yes it is. It is dye based. Most dye based inks from any brand are fugitive. This does not mean that dye based inks are not good. They are usually durable enough to not fade over night, and if you are using them in a letter or a journal where they are not constantly exposed to light they should last a long time. If you want a light fast ink you typically have to get a "pigment" ink or a "carbon" ink. These inks are much more harsh on your fountain pen and difficult to clean.

Really Pelikan - is it too hard to put the label on straight on a premium bottle of ink.

Pricey but good ink - lovely vibrant green. But really - put the label on the bottle properly.
