Lego Jurassic World - Xbox One Digital Code

This game is a nice way to show off your xbox console. It has beautifully rendered graphics, you'd think the characters are made of shiny high quality plastic just like Lego pieces. The gameplay itself has two basic purposes, a) you run around breaking things which liberates round coins that you collect to improve your score and b) you have to solve a few simple tasks along the way (e.g. enter a numerical combo to open a lock.) That said, I couldn't really get started on the game until I watched a video of somebody playing it in youtube (I should clarify I am no intense game aficionado.) The ones who really made this purchase worthwhile were my two boys (5 and 6.) They got really good at going through the game in minimum time and with maximum scores. Then they really started having a ball when I bought them a second controller - this game is GREAT for 2 people to play at the same time on the xbox (it splits the screen cleverly and each player gets to do his own thing, or they can hang together, harass each other, etc.)Now for the not so great news. The one thing that handicaps this game is the price; there is no excuse for asking people to plunk $ 50 on something with about the same entertainment value as a BluRay movie (maybe 20 eyeball hours of fun for the average family) and zero cost of goods (it's the download version.) It also stands in puzzling contrast to the other Lego games which are under $ 25 (who knows why, maybe Spielberg asked for too big a royalty...) Bottom line: if price is no object and you have kids in the 5-10 range this is probably a cool game to put your console through its paces.

There are so many of these Lego games now they sort of blend together but this one stands out. The kids and i had a good time rolling though the movies and collecting the mini-figures

The graphics came up great and smooth, considering it's an older and game and so far no bugs / glitches. My some loves these codes instead of real discs as he has an Xbox at my and his mothers house, and it means he can play the games via his account without having to bring discs. Also no media to scratch or damage.The other one we got (code) was plants vs zombies off Amazon.

Digital Codes are the only way to go for me from now on. I bought this game as something to play with my wife and she really likes it! I'm more into FPS and Adventure games, but these Lego games (if you haven't played one before) are actually pretty fun and pretty funny. Worth it if you're thinking about it. Lots of content.
