Roadmaster 676 Nighthawk Tow Bar

So much easier to attach and detach. Worth the every penny

The tow bar works great, it's sturdy and I really like it, BUT it is really heavy and awkward to carry around. In my situation, I cannot leave it in place while my motorhome is in storage, but if you are able to leave it attached to your tow vehicle, the weight concern should be no big deal. It claims to be non-binding, and I've never truly put it to the test on-purpose, but so far the release levers have never bound up on me, even when I wasn't on perfectly flat ground. I thought the lighting strip along each side was kinda hokey when I purchased it, but I was just towing last night in the dark for the first time, and I am now a believer. It really helped light up and define the front of my towed vehicle while towing in the dark, and as a bonus it also served as my "work light" while I was unhitching the towed vehicle at my destination.

Outstanding product. Easy hook up . Very durable and I am very happy with its performance. I would highly recommend this for anyone toeing behind their motorhome.

Upgraded to the Nighthawk from a falcon2. The biggest improvement is the non-binding locks. My old towbar was nearly impossible to release unless the rigs were perfectly flat and inline. The nighthawk is effortless when on uneven ground in a full turn. I love the courtesy lights at night as an added bonus. I wish it came with the cover but I purchased that separately to protect it when not in use. The integrated safety and electrical cables are a nice touch.

The Roadmaster Nighthawk 676 is the premier towing system. Through the years, with multiple RVs (motorhomes), we have tries the best of several companies and this exceeds them all - in every respect. You know your toad is secure and safe... Ease of use is exceptional to hook up and unhook. Safety is greater with the side lights and the unit will not bind. The manufacturer has exceptional customer and technical support. Your safety and security is worth the price!

Quality of hitch is excellent. But wishing I had instead saved some $$ and purchased the non-lighted model. Had to replace the electrical umbilical cable because my Jeep Mopar cable does not use a standard connector. Unfortunately the Mopar cable was too thick & it would not fit into the channel along the tow bar arm. So may be forced to zip tie attach it on the outside, thus defeating the cool “enclosed” cable feature. When Roadmasters cable was removed, discovered that the lighting strips are connected to a power splice along the cable inside the channel, with a rather cheesy splice. Not sure how I am going to fix this, since the Mopar cable will not fit into the small channel. On the plus side, the actual tow bar is much easier to connect & remove than was my old Stowmaster (which did not have sufficient weight capacity for my Jeep).

Great tow bar . Works great . Like everything about it.

Simple to install and connect your Toad. More importantly, super easy to unhook regardless of position with the patented easy load release system built in the the Nighthawk. Wouldn’t use any other tow bar for my rig.

I haven't towed with it yet but the design and build quality looks really good so I give it a top score. Would have been a 5 except that it was shipped in a flimsy carboard box with no extra packing on the ends. The box was pretty much destroyed when it got to me and that caused the paint to be damaged.
