Leo the Wayward Tortoise enjoyed these!
Ordered these in hopes that the little Sulcata who showed up on our front porch would enjoy them, and he definitely did. We received three pads, but were not able to use all of them before the last one started to go bad... not surprising, since he's a little guy and I was only feeding him six or seven snips every day or two to supplement his diet. But he enjoyed them.

Not Spineless!
The first order I made a few months ago was fine. This order had spines and lots of them. Almost like someone cut them off of a cactus on the side of the road and chucked them in an envelope. They were loose in the envelope so it was a heck of a surprise getting a spine in my finger when I reached in.

So easy to root!
I ordered 2 sets of these for my Herman's Tortoise & my Beardie & they love them. I split 1 pad between them and wanted to see if they actually liked them before planting the others. I planted them in a mix of organic potting soil (make sure soil is all natural if feeding them off to animals--don't buy soil with fertilizer or any of the other crap they add to other potting soil.) & a little sand & I'm not kidding-they had started rooting within a week & had a strong root system within another week to week 1/2. I would gently try to wiggle them a little in their pot to make sure they were rooting & they hardly budged. Use newspaper folded to hold the pads when planting, or you'll get hands full of the teeny spines. I made the mistake of touching them with bare hands...took a couple of days for them to work their way out, so be careful!! Not really painful; more irritating because they're hard to get out. Very good value for these & my reptiles just love them! ๐ Will order again so I can have a whole garden for my reptiles.

Great first experience not great second
The first time I ordered was a great experience. Since my tortoise loved them I decided to order again and did not have as great of luck. One of the leafs was covered in mold and they were covered in spines so I had to remove myself to not injure my tortoise.

Favorite Cactus of my torties!
I've purchased from this seller for a long time now, and it's my favorite place to buy prickly pear cactus for my tortoises. They are a nice size, and also a nice thickness. I've purchased from other companies before that send fatter but smaller pads, but they are a lot harder and my torties don't like them much. They always love this cactus, and eat it all. I like having something else that's good for them so they have a variety and it's also a superfood for them and very good for them. When I receive them they are almost always cleaned and have the thorns removed which is very very nice and much appreciated.

Not naturally spineless.
Once I figured out whose door Amazon tossed my package in front of I was able to view the product. Three paddles are good size for the price. But. The cactus is not naturally spineless and appears to have the spines burned off. Some tiny spines are left but ready for feeding to pets. Not for replanting to grow spineless cactus.

Review Written by a Young Bearded Dragon
My Dad was satisfied with the delivery and freshness of the product. But I, a adolescent Bearded Dragon, just wasn't a fan. I ate a few pieces, made a pouty face, and refused to eat more. As such Dad was left with 2 cactus pads that he had no idea what to do with. He told me that he will probably just have to throw them out if he can't find a friend to give them to.
