So far it’s beyond what I expected, having the ability to water my plants on a schedule is amazing . Im using a live bait cooler style water container I’ll post in pics , when I know it’s gonna rain I open the top and let it collect water . The solar aspect of this particular unit is actually helpful so I don’t need to charge it . I only have 2 plants hooked up to it for now , but I can see how that pressure would diminish the more I add ( possibly ) . At the price point this unit is you can’t go wrong . Set up was easy connecting the hub was also as easy . The appearance when it’s in use is nice I’ve had people look at me and say “really , you’re so extra “. I say no , lol . Definitely recommend buying this if your a newbie like me and love technology as I do , it also can be hooked up with Alexa or google home ., nice option. The functionality of this device with the water container I’m using makes it almost seamless to ensure my plants health with watering on a consistent basis . Good luck and God Bless …

This worked great and it was fairly easy to set up. You need to make sure that you have the hub which you can purchase with it as it doesn’t really work without the hub I like the app on the phone, which allows me to modify the watering as needed.

The product box does not contain the correct t-adapters. The correct ones are supposed to have two 1/6 inch outlets and one 1/8 inch outlet. All three outlets in the box are 1/6 inch. The picture/instructions in the user manual have it sized correctly. You cannot fit the 1/8 inch line onto the t-adapter? It needs the correct t-adapters.

Other than the following, the product is flawless and words incredibly well. Helpful tip: the tee barbs that come with the kit, as of today's date in July 2026, are 1/4" on each of the three ends. The 1/6" main-line tubing fits nice and snug on the tee barbs without needing much force, but the 1/8" branch tubing is incredibly difficult to get on even when submersing the tube in hot water for a minute before using pliers to try to force it on. It's quite the effort. I recommend ordering 4/7 mm to 3/5 mm tee barbs from AliExpress for a few dollars at the same time as this unit if you're on a time crunch before going on vacation, otherwise you'll have quite the difficult project to get the tubes onto the tee barbs like I did. Rainpoint, please update the tee barbs you include in the kit to match the new 1/8" branch-line tubing. I also think including adjustable drip emitters would be ideal. The unit can't specify how much water goes to each plant and that could be solved by using the drip emitters that can be twisted to adjust flow rate (also available on AliExpress).

I love this thing. Last summer I had to water my potted tropical plants every dang day, it was so hot. Now I’m just filling the water bucket once a week and my plants are thriving. It was fairly easy to set up. With a soil sensor, I just set the conditions and the Smart plan takes care of the rest.

Well right off I see that to charge the battery without solar you have to take the battery out of the module. This will prevent using the system indoors or in a shaded area without taking the battery out periodically to charge it. So there is no charge port on the solar watering device without removing the battery to plug it in and charge it. The instructions are just OK to get everything connected and working, they may be in English but probably written by someone who's English is a second language. Overall the unit seems to be fairly quality and the watering schedule and period should be adequate for any watering choice which is what I was worried about after ordering other units with set schedules and watering times that didn't fit my need. Would be nice if it also measured soil moisture but it doesn't. Also would be nice if usb charging ports were included without removing the battery and if there was a battery charge indication on the app.the only battery indication on the app is when the battery is charging from solar. Apparently if the battery is charged and the sun is on the solar panel there is no solar charge indication, only if the battery isn't charged and solar is charging it. Also there is a power insufficient indication but not a battery charge indication.

I have about six of these. these two new are the version 2 which has more volume throughput. All of the pumps work well, they seem to stay online and the pumping app and schedule work well. This is a must for gardeners that like to go away and leave their gardens for holiday. They tie in to the moister sensors for self watering. I have had 2 for two years and I leave out in the weather next to Greenhouse and raised beds. They even made it through the winter when I forgot to take in. Rain point products are well built. It would be nice if they built ones with more volume throughput for larger applications like a Greenhouse so I wouldn't have to have 6 to do my watering. The new vers 2 do have more volume but I would like more for different spray nozzels.

Works great. Saved my plants when on vacation

This is my second unit, I have had the first one for a year now and I am impressed. My balcony faces north so I do not get direct sun at all and the unit has lasted almost a year on the first charge and the little sunlight it gets. It works every day no problems. I am actually able to go away for a week in the heat of summer without losing any plants. It works great!

A good product well built but battery is not replaceable. ☹️

I am all excited. Very happy. Went to turn it on all the sudden worked next day. Come back out and hit the test button for 30 seconds. It runs for 20 seconds, goes red and then flashes and stops. Now I'm leaving for 5 days and well I don't think I'm going to be able to water my stuff while I'm gone. ERG g. I guess we'll figure it out when I get back
