Hamilton 2+4 Chest of Drawers in Pine

The instructions are not clear on assembly plus I had 16 screws missing from the packaging so ended up going to screw fix , but overall it looked good once assembled

Very sturdy product, prompt delivery. Good quality. But does not come with enough screws so couldn’t finish building the drawers until a trip to the hardware store! Very frustrating!

It was fairly easy to put together. My wife and I did it in about 1.5 hours. She did the drawers whilst I did the frame

Strong and sturdy enough for 2 active boys. However wooden runners can be squeaky and ear piercing at times

Expected this to be sturdier than it actually is. Drawers very shallow. Screws break the wood so need to careful putting it together or the wood will splinter. The feet are also thread bear and fall off and have to take great care when moving so it won’t split the wood .

As a reviewer and customer, I like to think I'm a positive chap and can appreciate the selling of goods from a manufacturer's POV, the quality, workmanship and difficulties in distance selling, when you can't physically as a customer, see the product until it's delivered. I therefore take all this into account and accept that at times, it won't be perfect, but actually it overwhelmingly is from Amazon and generally, I believe this site are aware that I rarely award one star. The fact is, in regards to this piece of mass and cheaply produced, carelessly packed, misrepresented item, if I could award zero stars I would. On delivery, or prior to it, the customer is asked to check the contents to see if it's all there - try doing that with a great, heavy, sealed box from a seriously busy delivery guy and see what he says (I guarantee you won't be popular). I accept that again, on occasion, the odd screw, dowel or pin may go astray, but here, I've had to go out and buy 30 odd panel pins, to put the back of the item's backing on properly as it came without them (but on the instructions said there was ONE), 24 x 25 mm screws because there weren't enough in the pack to complete it as per the instructions, along with a few others and I used a whole bottle of wood glue because of loose dowels, draw bottoms and side fixings, in the poor quality wood that split in places with a screw barely halfway in and on top of that, it came lacquered with an awful orangey brown varnish, that bears no relation to the photo advertising it, because there were so many obviously different shades of wood in the manufacture, it would have looked like it was retrieved from an odds and ends dump, not the nice, uniform like picture of pine on the site. For what is the equivalent of half the average week's wages, I expected much, much better and feel well and truly stung by a bunch of pirates. My personal opinion is, if this is what they think is 'quality' (their intimation, not mine), the manufacturer needs to know, that I will never buy so much as a matchstick from them in future. Their goods and the means to construct them are appalling, made of cheap materials to a poor standard, falsely advertised and effectively 'clickbait' and I will donate this item, having used my own fairly good skills (40 years doing flatpacks), to get it to a halfway decent standard for a local church for those who need it. Complete waste of time and money, other than to help those who couldn't usually afford this over priced rubbish and I feel sorry that Amazon got taken in as well, because they are not responsible for the vast minority of merchants who sell this cheap, costly crap, in my opinion again, under false pretences.

Only thing l disliked about my order was l had to buy lots of screws, because there was 20 screw short in the package,otherwise I was very pleased with my order

Fairly easy to assemble although numbering the different parts would help. Solid build so looks like it will last.
