Smith & Cult Nail Polish, Purples

If you are a princess and you live in a castle, this nail polish will be perfect!Since you’re a princess, you can totally afford to spend way too much on empty promises and ridiculous packaging, right? I mean, that’s basically what Prince Charming IS, in essence.And since you’re a princess, you have everything made for you and brought to you and presented on silver trays, and also someone that can handle the silverware when you eat, button your clothes for you, and open every can, door and window for you, so this polish would totally work. The color is lovely, as long you’re a princess, because that way, you have SO MUCH time on your hands that applying three coats to conquer the streakiness won’t annoy the crap out of you at all!If you’re a princess, go for it! This is PERFECT.If you’re a regular person who actually has to put on their own clothes and work and drive a car and clean and stuff, keep looking. Seriously. Three coats. Ok. I can do that for beautiful perfection. But three coats and a topcoat....and it chips after two hours? I’m not doing construction over here; I’m just like.... BEING.Keep looking, non-princesses ( and I don’t mean it like that, ok, relax, I know we are ALL princesses inside blah blah blah. What I mean is, “non princess”- as in your job doesn’t actually require you to live in a castle and wear a tiara).

Smith & Cult nail polish is fantastic. I have never heard of this brand of Polish before. But, when I came across it in the Amazon shopping app it looked so wonderful I thought I would try it. Well, let me tell you I have used a lot of brand names in nail polish and this is wonderful! I can't say enough about it. The color I got was Fauntleroy, an opaque, muted lavender. Very high shine, lasts a long time, easy to apply. I love this color. They also have so many colors to choose from, I just ordered three more and will probably order more than that. They don't chip or don't rub off easily. I do put a base coat on and a top coat. I do this with all the polishes I use. Smith & Cult is superior, in my opinion, to some of the more expensive polishes. Try them, I know you will love them! I highly recommend this nail polish. Buy yourself a little gift, and enjoy!

Tops are dented on purpose! This is the smith and cult’s signature look! I see too many people saying that all their stuff arrived damaged. That is not the case....read the smith and cult bio on their actual website and you will find out why things are dented. Their rationale is that everything in life is not perfect but your nails can be and they are absolutely on point with their nail colors. They are vibrant and long lasting, not to mention Gorgeous!

I'm a long-time Essie girl, but Essie now has some serious competition with this polish! As an artist, my nails take a serious beating. Between paint, washing brushes, working on canvas, my nail polish never lasts more than a few days. Not anymore! I love this polish!! It lasts a very long time, goes on really smooth, doesn't require numerous coats, and looks fabulous! My only complaint is there are not a lot of colors to choose from on Amazon. (Not sure if that's because they don't have a good selection, or Amazon just doesn't sell that many colors.) The polish bottle is awesome! Very pretty with a removable gold or silver top. Very fancy and looks good sitting on the makeup counter. The quality of this polish is outstanding. Very happy!

I've had no prior experience with S&C so I bought our of impulse. I really like the bottle and the top is very heavy and astetically dented which caught me off guard but quickly realized the dents are purposely put there. As for application, this specific color is not easy to apply. It is slightly gummy but has a very nice wet shine after it dries. I put 3-4 coats on to get full coverage as the coverage is buildable but very hard to get even if it's not fully coated. I was dreading dry time because of how thick the coats were but I was so surprised to find that it dries quick! I did not apply a base coat but did apply a top coat. It took a total dry time of an hour with imprint exception. I've had it on for three days now and no chips. Still shiny. As for the color, it's a dark purple and looks black on. First photo is newly applied, second photo is after three days.

Love this brand and color. Does not chip on my nails for about five days —if I pass off the dishwashing or wear gloves.

I'm in love with this color. It's definitely worth the price. It stayed perfect, no chips, no peeling for four full days, and started to chip on day 4. The 'healthier' nail polishes i have tried like Butter and the Deborah Lippman Gel last 2 days max. Essie or Opi might last 3 days before chipping. I am pretty hard on my nails, wash dishes by hand, etc, so my manicure never last long. I'm super happy with this purchase. I got the base and top coat, too.

My 14 yr old neice has been looking for a dark purple for some time and boy did she find one. Perfect for fall, the color is rich and the pigment applies evenly unlike many dark colors that streak. The formula has no intense smell, goes on smooth and has high shine for several days. This polish has everything I look for in a polish and my neice and I cant wait to try other colors,

Goes on so smoothly and easily. 1 coat provides great coverage. Lasts a long time without chipping.
