I wanted to replace my old aluminum squeeze sifter because it didn’t distribute a light even dusting; namely of powdered sugar, over my baked goods. I have a large old fashioned crank sifter that I use for sifting large amounts of flour and purchased this one specifically for “dusting” baked goods.I just received it. It came promptly and well packaged; in perfect condition. I haven’t had it long enough to say how it will hold up but I took a chance on it because it’s a single screen at the bottom and the squeezing mechanism seemed potentially more comfortable than some other models available.Upon initial evaluation, I was very pleased with its performance. I didn’t wash it, and likely won’t unless something gets spilled on it. If it fails or decides not to perform as advertised, I will update this review.The only reason I didn’t give it five stars if that the sifting mechanism inside doesn’t sit perfectly flat and flush with the screeen. Still, it far out-performed my old aluminum squeeze sifter by far. So I’m keeping it and leaving a very favorable review. BTW, the sifting handles are big enough for three / four fingers and it is easy to pull. It drops a generous amount of powdered sugar, but not too generous. Overall I’m pleased.I’ve wanted a small sifter for “dusting” items for quite a long time but I didn’t really want triple screens or tapered openings at the bottom so I kept looking. Upon initial trial this one seems to be a good choice. I’ll let you know if it turns out not to be.

Sitfs flour well, powdered sugar not so much. It seems to get stuck every squeeze if it's anything but flour.

Works as intended but if you have large hands as I do then it will be a bit uncomfortable.

This works. But some time it kind of locks up.
